FT: Russian-Ring

It was my 1st race on rfactor and I made the biggest mistake of all.... Only fuel it to 13 laps and therefore ran out of fuel :*(....

Anyway my pace wasn't too bad. Gain 1 place to 3rd before the 1st turn, but then I got punt 1st lap from the back by Andre so i immediately dropped to 12th. With some drop out and hard fought battles I was able to climb up to 5th before I ran out of fuel.

My 1st experience of rfactor is quite positive and I think i am going to continue racing on the platform.

P.S.... Andre please be more gentle next time

This was my 1st race - the clean racing is so much better than just pick up racing. I made a dumb mistake of driving by the pits in qualifying then ended up running out of gas. The same happened at the final lap of the race - out of gas again. Next time I'll add more than 1 lap above the race total.
The adrenalin rush while racing is great - see you again soon.

This was my first race also here at race 2 play.Every 1 was nice and the race was very good.My car wouldnt turn and as the race went on it got alot tighter ugh.I had 2 or 3 nice little battles and they was fair and i didnt get bumped got alittle kiss once but no big deal was really fun.

Had an unruly disco at about lap 8 or 9. My ISP decided to update their system and my modem decided to reboot(I think, the modem all of a sudden was restarting). Congrats to Kevin for the victory, as well as the other podium finishers.

Just hours before the race, was my first at R2P. That was my second, and was nice.

I found myself 3rd, due some fuel mistakes on competitors.

I'm very happy I finish the race, and of course for the podium.

Strange race for me. I've never driven this track so it took quite a bit of time to figure it out. I found a bunch of understeer here so I took my Manfield setup (high curbs) and cranked up the rear spring and bars a bit. That with slower corner entry seemed to work for me. I started to get comfortable in practice.

Quali
Getting real comfortable with lighter fuel and banged out a nice lap. Low to mid 1:41's are possible here with enough practice.

Race
This is where things got interesting. As I'm practicing the launch for the start, my wife (who was feeling ill) decided she wanted to watch Judge Judy at ear bleeding volume. Since she isn't feeling well, I allowed it. A few laps into the race, the tv volume increases and the case introductions are done. I started to have problems. I couldn't hear the engine, but could clearly hear a woman complaining that her sister hasn't paid back a loan for bail. I'm missing braking points, missing shifts, etc... Then my mother in law comes in starting to argue in Vietnamese and I'm spinning off track allowing Kevin to come through. Oh... all this time, Kevin is within 1 - 2 seconds of me filling my rear view mirror. That was just too much for my brain to process.

Kevin didn't get too far ahead. I could see him in the distance, so I tuned out Judge Judy the best I could and focused on Kevin. That helped. On the last lap (I had no idea it was the last lap), I pressured Kevin into making a mistake giving me a healthy lead. I thought to myself, whew... I can cruise and listen to the outcome of the case. On the 3rd to last turn, the motor stumbles. I make a quick decision to pit because I was right there and had no idea what lap I was on. The car didn't make it to my box, nor did it cross the finish line. Turns out, I was only a stones throw away from the finish. If I stayed on track, I probably would have coasted to the finish 1st. Strangly, I filled to 15 laps of fuel too.

Good strategy and pace Kevin.

A little advice Mike, use headphone. My wife's TV noise at the background (yes my computer and TV is in the same room too) never got in my way and she never complain the engine noise
