Congrats to Rob on a great wire to wire win, and to Mike for a great championship. 2:11's, I don't know how you guys do it. Fast times man.

I had a bad start and gave up some positions, but due to unfortunate circumstances by others, was able to settle in for 7th. I was trying to catch Ryan, but he was just faster than me. I had my hands full with Garry & Steve on my ass for most of the race, and that made it exciting. Thanks guys for the clean racing. It was a very fun race for me and I hate to see this series go away. Hope there will be something out there that I can have as much fun with as this series.

I'm very pleased to finish 5th in this series, because I never did get good speed with these cars. 4th was impossible because Scott was the better driver and always had a good points lead on me.

Thanks all for the great fun this season, and I hope I left a good impression on you guys, because all of you left one on me. You all raced me clean, and I tried to do the same with you. Have fun, and hope to see you guys sometime soon!

Congrat Rob for the dominate win and Mike for the Champ. Still not too comfortable in the E30 but it was a fun filled race! Struggling in quali and 7th was the best I could do. Made a good start and slotted in 5 after lap 1. Didn't really have the pace to catch the front runners and I have John on my tail for the entire race. He was fast and push me all the way to the finishing line. Great race John! That was so fun.

It's sad to see Race07 go. Don't really know the reason behind the decision to take this game out. Really enjoyed racing with you guy. Hope to see you all somewhere on other race platforms. Cheers!

Congrats to Mike for championship and Garret and Les for 2nd & 3rd in championship, well done. And congrats to Mike and Garret for race podium, great racing.

This race went really well for me, with the exception of a couple of two wheels in the grass towards the end, I was able to keep a pretty good consistent pace. I spent some time practicing the start since I know Mike is real strong with starts. Fortunately I was able to keep my pole spot going into T1, but it was close with Garret, Mike and Steve all on the hunt.

I was able to slowly put up a gap and it looked like Garret, Steve, Mike were in a close battle with each other which allowed me to just concentrate of my pace. This is a track that one has to be really patient with, push too hard and the tires will give up and lap times will suffer.

Managed to work about a 8 sec gap, but noticed that Mike had moved into the 2nd spot and about the same time I made a couple of small mistakes which dropped the gap to 7 sec. Refocused and was able to keep the gap around 7 sec til finish.

It was a good group of fast guys tonight, lots of talent showed up.

Race07 is out?? Didn't know that, I guess I gotta stay on top of the news at R2P. Race07 has been good to me, but I can understand the decision to pull it. Lets hope it gets replaced by something even better.

I usually enjoy driving these cars, but I get bored driving on this track. Hence, I did not practice a whole lot. I was ok with a 9th place quali. Got a decent start and managed to pass Garry H. on an inside out move. Then on lap 2 I was following Les Lamont. I was trying to pass on the inside and I was too late braking. I bumped him. I wasn't aware that I hit you that hard until watching the replay, sorry about that Les. I just couldn't bring the beast around to avoid contact! I am also sorry to see Race 07 leave next season. I think it is a good sim aside from a few glitches and bad pit stops. Makes for great screenshots!

Was fun getting out in the E30 again with you lads last night. Even flaky R07 cooperated; if all my races with it in S7 had been as solid I'd never have abandoned it (nor I suspect would R2P have done).

First outing with it this season though, so my prep wasn't great and it showed. First in qualy when I nearly looped it on my "gold" lap and then ran out of time when I was on a high 2:10 lap with 4 corners to go. Was exciting trying to squeeze that last Hail Mary in under the wire though - fun stuff!

Still had a decent grid spot for the race, which I almost lost by snoozing at the light. Slotted into 4th and then got by Mike for 3rd when he had a bad exit onto the S/F straight about two or three laps in. I knew he and Garret were contending for the series, so I figured I needed to be ahead of both of them or behind, and in any case not hit either of 'em.

The former was preferable of course(!), and as I seemed to have a teeny bit of pace in hand on Garret that was plan A - especially since I saw Rob getting up the road and wanted to see if I could get up to him. I worked on Garret for a while to find a clean way past, and pressured him hard thinking he'd have the series in mind over the position. But kudos to him; he didn't flinch and my taking extreme lines just cooked my tires in the process. I started getting looser and looser, finally getting into a near-comical series of saves in the tight 5/6/7 complex that ended up with me nearly collecting Mike. Sorry for the scare, man!

Finally got it going again back in 10th just before midway, so from there I just tried to see how far back up I could get. Got up as far as 8th but I'd abused the tires and was too loose late to hold onto it. Garry retook the spot on the very last lap - good racing.

I really had no pace in this car, but had a good battle with Les and Scott at the back.

Hope Race 07 will come back here later, maybe together with GTR Evolution.

I had the pole sewed up until a late charge by Rob in the closing minute to pip me by .06s! Nice lap Rob and lap record!
I had a good start to the race and tried to keep up with Rob. He slowly pulled away while I was fending off Steve. Steve faded and I found Mike closing in on me. I overdrove a couple of corners enough to give Mike a shot at 2nd. He wasted no time and we battled for quite a few corners before I had to give up the spot with only a couple of laps left. Nice battle Mike.

At the beginning of the season, I never expected to be fighting for the championship. I didn't like the WTCC cars and thought these would be similar. They weren't and I wound up liking them a lot.

Too bad to see the end of RACE07 for the immediate future. I realize that the numbers in participation weren't there to support continuing. Anyone have an idea why participation for RACE07 fell overall?

I think problems with online stability had a lot to do with it, and framerate problems for people without powerful rigs. A lot of people losing connections. Not having a manual pit stop option is also a strike against the "sim" racing experience. I know that a few guys I race with were getting fed up with framerates. Always ran pretty smooth for me (never as smooth as rFactor though). Then again, I have a pretty nice computer (not top of the line, but good enough). Anyway, I hope it makes a return. Although I am not sure it should be part of the World Championships because of the instability issues. That is just my opinion though.

I am surprised by the problem ppl are having on Race07. I don't have a top of the line computer either but it ran ok and i never had a drop connection issue. Here is the spec of my computer:

1 GB ram
X1650 AGP graphic card

I agree that the start up for the game is extremely slow. But once it's loaded up it ran quite well. Ofoourse i am not on full detail rendering, and I am only running it at a lower res than i normally would.

Was definitely the online issues for me. Never had framerate troubles, but too often saw problems with disappearing cars, incorrect results reporting, competing cars sharing pitstalls (great with the crazy autopit you couldn't turn off), and server replays showing my car in places far from where it was in my local replays.

While the cars are fun to drive, the game had too many online issues for me to commit to doing a season with it. Heck, if they just hadn't broken all the stuff that worked well enough in GTR2 when they created Race07, they'd have had a good product.
