Euro G2: Birmingham

2 drivers issues 1 lap penalties for not serving mandatory drive-through penalty for a first lap punt.

In qual I did my PB, and after that I totaled my car in the last corner. Not enough time to try to improve. Third place, not too bad anyway.

In the start Heinz was a little slower than me, I had to back off and that allowed Brad to pass me. Joco did a really optimistic passing attempt into T3 but he ran wide and I passed him right back. After a few laps Brad ran wide in the second last corner, and after about 12 laps Fernando pitted (for tires?) so the fight was on between Heinz and me.

After a while it was clear to me that Heinz was suffering more on worn tires and was holding me up but it's really hard to pass here. I did everything I could think of to try to force him to a mistake but he kept it together. Finally, with 4 laps to go, he ran a little wide in the slow right hander before the first chicane. That was enough for me, I went for the gap and managed to squeeze through.

One of the best races I've had so far, really enjoyable. Left front wear was over 50 at the finish, but it was only after passing Heinz - since he wasn't slowing me down anymore - that I noticed how badly worn the tires really were.

I set my PB aswell in quali, hope it stays a lap record for a while, i dont have many of those :P

The start was not too bad, Fernando got a good start and he had the line into T1, so i backed off, there was a scrap behind me the first few laps, and all the while fernando was pulling away, but not making too much ground.

Ari was on my tail probably 95% of this race, and it was really tough work keeping him there, i was on med/hard combo because meds at the rear just got way too hot.
Fronts were worn just over halfway in the race, and i was also thinking of pitting, but didnt want to give ari such an easy win, so i just hel the wheel tighter and tried my best not to make any mistakes...

about 3/4 in Ari was really pressuring me, and i was covering the inside into the left hander T3 all the time as i thought this was the only place Ari had the chance to pass.. I was expecting a tire blow somewhere at the end, because i just had nothing left, all 4 were worn and front left worn to about 58..

4 laps to go i kicked it into 1st gear by mistake and the rear kicked out and i had to try fight the car to stay straight, this was ari's only chance to get passed, otherwise it felt like he was giving up at that point... that sucked to loose the win that way.

Really enjoyed this race aswell Ari, thanks .. was a season highlight for me.

Funny race. First corner, right after start, lost some aero due to a collision. After that my car felt very understeery. Mid game got kicked in the back, probably because I braked a little early. I pitted, got repaired and changed all fours. Went back on track and ended up behind some cars that just lapped me. Since they were with 1 lap in front of me I thought to stay back, but that wasn't going anywhere. Overtaking didn't quite work either. Every time I made a move I had to slide back, because there was not enough room and they had the right to be there. Right after they crossed the finish lane, the cars in front of me stopped in parallel and all of a sudden we weren't in Kansas anymore.

Qual gone in the way what i expected. I knew i wouldnt be fast compared to bmws but at least i was the fastest seat with only a couple of tents :P

For race; I knew that my only real rival was Pete, others were faster or slower lol. We both made no pits and Pete was on my rear bumper all for 45 mins which was really annoying on my side i lost too much water while defending :D

Actually he was way faster than me and he knows how to make setup which doesnt eat tyres lol. My front left tyre was dead after 2/3 of the race and in the end it was 75 ...

That quote (after race ends Pete said that) summarize the race between Pete and me " I tried everything NOT to pass u" LOL.

Anyways it was a good season and im happy to get 2nd place overall :)

Qualified 8th which was pretty good,then got punted on the 1st corner 1st lap which sent me to 16th.Then a bit later had some computer freezes as usual which sent me off for 10 seconds or so & then trying to climb back up the order I tried a pass on Kinloch which was slightly optimistic & turned him around--very sorry for that,was completely my fault.
Anywho ended the race in 7th & the series in 6th overall which I think if I had a bit more luck shoulda been 5th---
shoulda,woulda,coulda,----maybe next time.

Qualified 7th , race ended on lap 11 i think.

I got a great start off the line but had to slam on the brakes to avoid the car infront, this allowed a few to pass me. Then i spotted a car driving very agressivley on the inside into turn 1 who collided with a couple of cars i think. I managed to get through this mess without any contact and slowly i pulled away from the car on my tail.
Now in 7th again i was chasing and catching two seats driven by Pete Bruce in 6th & Tolga Incekavaoglu in 5th. Just when i manmaged to get on the back of them on lap 10 Tolga Incekavaoglu lagged on the main straight and i hit him very hard [timestamp 1066] sending me high into the air and then onto my roof. I attempted to rejoin the track to get back to the pits for repair but the car was to damaged and would of been dangerous to do a whole lap like that, so i pressed escape, sat back and watched some great battles.

This seems to be a very professional place to race, i hope to race with you guys again soon.

Sorry Greg, unlucky that u get caught to that lag :( It doesnt happen too often, but u me and Pete were going good till that incident. Hoping to have more battles like it in the future..

Darren, it's a shame you're having connection issues but I think your decision to withdraw was the right one. It would've been impossible to race close against you, your car motion was that badly unsmooth. Hopefully the issue will blow over soon.
