Congrats podium, great job!

Being so new to this open wheel stuff i didn't expect much out of myself. I had a pretty good run going and moved myself up into 5th, maybe even 4th at one point. Then with a couple laps to go i spun out letting a gang of cars go though. I'm having a hard time running consistant lap times in these open wheel cars. Just not enough seat time i guess.

My car setup seemed a little crazy to me, but it's the only thing i could come up with that worked (for me). I maxed out the front anit-roll, and spring. Took out -1.0 camber. Added a bunch of caster. For the rear, i took out all the anti-roll, and spring. Took out -1.0 of camber. I also lowered the car front and rear all the way down. This seemed to be the only way i could get mechanical grip.

Congrats to Tommy with a big win! Also Matt you were quite quick and precise. You guys just hustled right away from me. You guys kept a great pace. Just couldn't hang. So i just ran my race. Had one minor off, but no spins. Was mighty surprised to take third. Never ran these cars before. Must say i loved it and am really looking forward to the next one. Again grats to Tommy and Matt you guys were awesome!

Well had SOME fun anyway.
Thought my setup might be good enough to win as long as i was consistent, but all came to not as i was spun on turn 1 from behind.

I must say the consistent part I accomplished after that, but didnt have a chance as I found myself back in 15th I think after turn 1.
Fought all race though and was able to at least get some points.

Really frustrating to put in practice and try to find a good set and to really learn the track only to be punted on turn 1.
Anyway like I said had some fun, but had to keep my emotions in check for the whole race.
Must also say sorry to F.Cruz as I got into him entering the last turn of lap 1, wasn't really that close to you but certainly didnt expect you to slow down that much for that turn. Am sorry though as a certainly was partially my fault, just completely surprised me.

Really would have been fun racing up front as based on lap times it would have been close through out.

Seems funny to say seeing as how I won the race, but I'm not digging these much at all right now. I'll try it again to see if they come to, but these are definitely the weakest link in a weak sim IMHO.

Qual:
Was not the fastest here, but apparently the fastest had not read the basic R2P rules, or chose to ignore them.
He was, it seemed, cutting 4 wheels in the grass thru turns 1, 2 & 3! And then in qual he did a hot lap (cutting) escaped out, reentered the track, did another, escaped out, then reentered for the 3rd time!
So I inherit the pole.

Race:
These things just have no rear grip. In a sim that definitely leans towards the console (some say arcade-ish), these stand out as going the other way, with just NO rear grip.
Got the holeshot and managed the gaps (apparently big mess at start behind me, you guys need to file a protest to have it reviewed you know), just running along till about lap 13 or so, when I half looped it in the decreasing radius tight left hander.
*!^!#! piece of crap ...
Matt took over the lead from my mistake, but then he looped it in the exact same turn 1 lap later! So I reinherit the lead and just squeezed out a win by 0.1 sec.
So I threw it away, but then to Matt's bad fortune he threw away the throw away!

So not convinced about these at all, liked the F3000's a lot better (but didn't end up running that series because of many other Race07 problems). *sigh*
