Euro nGT: Imola

Not much to tell about this one. Found myself in 4th after half a lap but had nothing for Sam. Pablo made a great comeback which put me in 5th and that's the way it stayed. Was fun looking at GTX XD and watching how my teammie Kieron was doing. Saw he was in a good fight with Tim and Tom. Good result there Kieron. Hope you can make the next ones too. We're looking good in the teamstandings. Grats to Marko and the rest of the podium. Cya at the next one .... a nice track cut short in a not so nice one. :-)

Good qualifying session , boring race. Got pushed off the track once again but i'm getting used to it already so who cares, bombs away and bye bye. After that just going round and round until the race was over , nothing much to cheer about but another 4th place at least.

edit: After watching the replay it looks like the car i had contact with , braked so much later than me that he was kind of forced to take the inside line to not run into me. Then there were 2 cars side by side in a place where only one car can fit through at a time and i got the short end of the stick. Just another racing incident i guess... :|

NO RSR or Ferrari GTC allowed for this one so jumped in the RS, wasn't too satisfied and switched to the JMB racing 360 got some laps in and went for it.

Nice race guys,

Put hard tyres on for race, full tank, pitted as late as possible, took as less fuel as possible. Just made the finish with 1 liter left. If Marko didn't lap I would have end up with an empty tank, lol. Nice result.

Had a very good start from p8 or p9 to p6. Had a gap of 6 seconds or so to behind, but unfortunately i ran 2 times a little wide into the gravel and dropped to p9. Knew i was not gonna do tyres, only fuel and I might gain a few places back.

Worked well and got the maximum result in the end. Kieron and Tom came very close in the end, so was very exciting that.

Congrats to Marko for the win, podium and all finishers. See you next race!

Crazy first lap, but it made for a bloody good race.

Was happy enough with 6th in Qualy. The time was quite a way off what I managed in practice before, but guess that's pressure for you :).

Start wasn't great and my poor little RS took a beating in lap one. Claudio was slow away so I had to lift which meant Samu ran into my rear causing him to spin, luckily for me it just rearranged my Curvy backside a little.

Was in 9th now, then through Tosa for the first time I got a nudge in the back from Pablo G, who was obviously trying to rub my rear better :) it was nothing a bit of opposite lock wouldn't sort out luckily. Then on the run in to Acque Minerali Pablo got a good look in side my cockpit as he tried going down the inside, but it looked like he got too much curb which sent him into my drivers door. Again luckily I just had enough room to stay off the grass.

Down to 10th now but with a bit of space to play with I set my sights on Brian F's Ferrari while trying to hold off Claudio. A few laps later and it was Tom who was having a good look at my not so curvy rear end, which is pretty much the view he got for the rest of the race.

The 3 car fight soon became 4 as we caught up to Timo's Ferrari, but unfortunately a couple of laps later he had a little moment which put him to the back of the 4 car train. Then somewhere around the 20 min mark Brian ran wide allowing me and Tom to get by, was now back upto 6th.

I started on full tanks so when I saw Tom and Mike pit I knew I had a few laps to try and get some flyers in. Managed 3 or 4 laps extra and I was lapping pretty good so it was looking good.

The pitstop turned out to be a mess though. Planned to just take fuel and risk it with the tyres. Had soft on the front and med on the rear. Got the clipboard and clicked left once for the fronts, then left ONCE on the rear which of course gave me softs on the rear. Fuel went in, hit ignition started the car, 1st gear dropped the clutch and floored the gas. Mmmm I dont seem to be moving, yet I'm in first and the engine is reving it's tits off. Then I notice in the mirror the crew taking the rears off. Thats when I realized what I did, bloody idiot.

Finaly got going again and came out in 7th, a sec ahead of Tom and around 5 behind Timo. Tom soon bridged the gap and with 20 or so mins left it was going to be hard to hold him off as he was clearly faster. The car felt pretty crap now with worn fronts and super grippy rears but I did my best and flogged the poor little Porsche's engine like their was no tommorow.

It did the trick though as Tom couldn't find away past, and in the closing laps we started to catch Timo. 2 laps left and I started to hear Tom short shifting and dropping back, so i took my eyes off the rear Mirror and pushed to get on Timo's rear. Managed to get on him but there was no where to pass, and I wasn't going to mess a great race up with a dumb move, so I just stayed close to see if Timo would make a mistake which sadly he didn't :).

Bit disappointed in 7th as I try to finish higher than my starting place, but it was such a hard fought race I didn't mind (much ;))

Grats to the podium and also to my Teamie George for getting 5th, Nice one matey :).

Also thanks to Tom for the pretty much race long race, you drove great and very, very fair. I know a few people who would have got frustrated after a few laps and just chuck it down the inside risking it all. But you showed great patience which is a bloody good thing in my book :).

funny race from 19 to 2º, but I make a mistake and Mark overtake me and made a good position defense.

Apologies to Kieron because my mistake in the donw-hill to aqua mineralle (the curb throw me)
