Euro nGT: Hockenheim

We obviously had an issue or two in those opening laps. I know one driver had lagged out to the point that I could not even boot him off the server. He caused a lot of issues with other cars nearby him, so for now I am assuming he could not see any other cars on track.

I will review the replay to determine if anyone else will be rewarded with penalties.

Was fun race for me. Entered server to late to do any practice or Q just loaded what seems a nice setup, put med-med on and started from back.

Major drama on lap1 and i got the line at the end of 1st lap in 10th :o Battled even more and saw i had a fast car, got close to Heinz before pits, but when going out i saw he didnt take tires... I did. So i started pushing hard, doing some nice Q laps and got him just a few laps before the end.

Firstable I'd like to apologize to Nuno for rolling his car at Spitzkehre in lap 3 or 4, I made a slightly later braking to get the inside but I run into him as he was on the outside (I served myself a drive-thru).

That mistake that lead me to a drive-thru, plus being hit when braking and taken off-track at Nord-kurve, plus not taking care of my tires that were melting at the end of each stint, made me loose a lot of time not being able to fight for at least a top 10 in spite of the advantage of gaining some places because of the mates that were leaving the game during the race.

Only fun laps were the opening ones where I tried to keep my place without much results...

Well that sucked,had a lockup in qual,rebooted and then could not get back into the server.When it showed warmup,said i could only join during practice sessions.

Could have been better , went for safe setup and plan was to keep a steady pace and score some safe points. Unfortunately one of the several 1st lap incidents finally got me , escaped the first ones but couldn't see this coming. Got rear ended and my car almost flipped over , needed some serious opposite lock to get it back into the ground on 4 wheels again :o.

After that there was not much to do , re-joined somewhere far behind and played catchup the rest of the race.Lost a place to George in pits and time run out for the 7th place fight,had a one or two chances to overtake Kieron but couldn't finish the move before the time run out and he kept his car wide enough to stay in the 7th position , grts and thx for the race :).

Little bit disapointed , but took the points what i could and hopefully next one goes a bit smoother.

Congratulations to Janko , Heinz and Borut for the podiums and good recovery from Jan too after disconnect in qualifying , cya all in the next one.

Pinball in lap 1 - front, back. Was pushed into another car, I think it was Mark McClean. Sorry, hope it wasn't me who ended your race. There was some warping as well, car was shown well away, but I felt a contact in the hairpin. Came onto stationary car twice, avoided once, but hit the second.
After some people left it was more steady, had a nice race with Timon, before and after the pitstop. Went to change the tyres and it was the right decision.
Couldn't get the clean lap in the quali, so I started in midfield. I'm satisfied with the RS behavior but without the pinball in the first lap I might be higher.

my game crashed with 5 to go in Q session ... was on front row of grid at the time... luckily could make it back in, and got 1 lap in to put it back on the front row.. lucky

Well .. congrats to Janko, you took the victory i took from you 2 seasons ago when you should have beaten me then aswell.. this time you did :P

Its a shame i really expected Janko not to take tyres and keep up the pressure, but i was left for dead with old slicks to his new pair of boots, he had such a fast car .. going off on the last corner during the 2nd stint didnt help me either :(

Well, i came here to win, but i guess 2nd and on the podium will do...

had a great opening to the race duelling with Borut ... finally managed to get passed on the hairpin, was a beautiful pass..

Janko's pass on me for the lead was awesome.. victory deserved.

i apologize my punt on mark...really sorry m8.

the story of an hour of mistakes...

in quali, i saw that many crashed out. that reminded me of my antivir (just got new hardware/software) and i didn't want to ruin anybodies race or mine with a ctd caused by antivir-update. i hoped for getting back to the game, but that was stupid wishful thinking with GTR2 :-)

So when i hurried back to quali, i took the setup with too less fuel for 2 laps (great job!) and couldn't do the lap right.
so i ended up in 17th position instead of the pole i would have had with my 40.1

i knew that i would have an eventful race with lots of fights. at the start it was pretty easy to gain some spots, but i didn't feel very comfy cause in the hairpin someone rushed by like his brakes have been forgotten in the pits.
just wanted to survive the opening lap. well before the entrance of the motodrom i was already in 6th position and just behind mark and ? fighting.

gained a lot of space under braking and mark took it wide so i felt like being invited to go into inside. as he was that wide, i expected him early on throttle so that i could go behind him under accelerating. unfortunately he wasn't and it ended up in a bad-ass move from me. SORRY Mark!

I just waited for him but he quit the race. At this bad occasion i had to fly by almost the whole field, so i rejoined at the end and just drove my laps.
My set wasn't perfect, but i managed to get back to 4th what was really pleasant for such a race. closed the gap to Borut, but would have needed 2 laps more to fight for podium ;-)

In the future, Jan, please wait for somebody outside the track as I crashed into your car sitting in the middle of the track with a full array of others behind me. I know it's hard to think in those moments, but a valid suggestion anyways me thinks. Take this as a positively oriented advice, not as bad language please. I miss them smilies here, very useful stuff.
