GTC76 Imola

Qualified for pole. Race was shocking. First turn and someone punted, i said restart (sorry for that, if you get pole and punted in T1 i think you propably do the same or boil inside). Dropped to dead last and drove good laps and reached first place just before half of the race. Kept good pace and drove easy victory.

Awful race for me.

First of all a huge apology to David Ulmer who I punted on lap 1. I was so embarrassed I forgot it was lap one so I waited a loong time for him to pass me back... but of course there was no need for that as I would let him pass with my drive through. Well had this autopit ON so I actually did a "tyre change" on pit haha... laughs and weeping there for me... tragi-comic situation actually.

Well from then on just trying to improve my laptimes, and my car control... something like an official practice as I was waaaay back in the standings for this race.

At least now with 9 credits I might have a shot at next race's podium, this time I'll practice more (friggin busy week this one).

Again with the chatting. I couldn't care less what happened to you since you are selfish enough not to think about others on the server and that your chatting may ruin others race.

Qualifying:
Was just getting to know the car, as I didn't have any practice. I was going for a low 2:06 in my last lap but spun it on the exit of the last chicane.

Race:
Took it very easy, and was patient. 2 laps to go I saw J Law had an off and that put me only 2 seconds behind. Immediately upped the pace to catch him, and was capable of mid 2:06's, had it not been for a Law's Capri slowing me in corners. Knew I wouldn't be able to overtake him unless he makes a mistake. Capri is just too fast on the straight.

5th wasn't bad considering the car.

Sometimes bad things just happen.

At Anderstorp I punted Samu in T1, so this time, standing right behind him on the grid, decided do be more than cautious - didn't quite work out. As I was crawling to the Tamburello, I saw Stephen's BMW sliding across the track right into the Capri's rear, sending it off. Stephen himself managed to stay on track in front of me. For some time I was following him, watching his line, planning the attack, and finaly he lost his car under braking in Variante Alta, so I found myself leading the race.
Soon I noticed the gap I managed to build up so far began to shrink, and in no-time Samu's Capri appeared in the mirror, closing up incredibly fast. Unfortunatly, under braking for the Variante Alta, he failed to avoid contact, and send me off.
Still, I recovered back to the second, but the suspension was damaged, and car suffered from some sudden oversteer. First visit to the pits had no effect, except loosing lots of time. So after a few more spins I came in again. After that the car still had some issues, but at least it was driveable, and I managed to bring it to the line without spinning in every corner.

How come I have 23 laps in the results? If you click on lap details it shows 24. Also in race I was showing 8th when I finished. Any clues?

Well actually only the lap count was wrong... Tim was kind to fix that (24 total, as I did serve my penalty)... the postion is right... I was 9th, if I saw 8th online might be someone dropping out just after crossing the line.
