TC65 Mondello

Pretty uneventful race for me. Didn't have much in the way of grapples with anyone. It was like a drive in the country.

But 5th place??? Yup. Happy with that.

Qualifying went great.

Race started great. From what I can tell, it must have been rough behind me, because I opened up a pretty decent lead. Then I slid off-track. Not certain why. Sleepy I guess. Crazy thing was, I came back on track and still had the lead. Started opening up a gap again, and then slid off again. What the heck...

Got back up into second, and then ran out of fuel. I have no idea what the deal is with that, because garage said I had 23 laps, and I've ran 20 laps on this setup more than once in the past.

Very odd.

Confused. End of race showed I finished 8th. The results show I finished 8th. But my driver page show 9th, and my season points indicate 9th as well. Any idea folks?

3 guys DNF'ing on the same lap can sometimes be confusing. Our importing process determines the proper finishing position based on who made it further down the track.

Even though the "F" column shows you in 8th, take a look at the column just to the right of it. The number in brackets "[9]" is the actual, correct, finishing position.

My unsure start was immidiatly punished by the punt, so I found myself behind everybody after T1. Was quite successful at working my way back. Had awesome fight with Jonathan for the 4th, passed him after many attempts. And after that made a couple of serios errors, falled back to 7th I guess, and then the "fuel crisis" happened, wich brought me back to 4th. Lucky me.
Fuel at this track is calculated very EXACT, lets say. That means, if you spend some time off the track - you are very likely not to reach the line, if you believed the lap counter. Keeping that in mind, I added a one click more at the setup screen (the counter showed 23 laps) - and it was barely enough - the engine started to die right after the finish line.

Gotcha. Looking in the replay, Anton coasted farther down the same straight that I 'expired' on.

I'll have to remember that. I just didn't want to end up parked on the racing surface. Not that I had the momentum to get much farther.

It was trial race for me. As there was no opportunity to be prepared as follows to race, quickly having adjusted a box I have gone on qualification. About exact calculation of quantity of fuel in general speeches are not present. But it is illness at me. Alexander knows:)
