This is in response to Mr Michaels pre-race comments.

Mr Scott Michaels, when you are unable to see or understand the complete picture you should keep comments as above to yourself.

This is the last time I will comment this matter.

Whether or not a good thing the S8 GT-O was going to be the single "alien-free" series apart from the novice series. The rank restriction 0 to 6 was announced very early before season start. Based on this information I decided to title sponsor this alien-free series with 30 bucks from my own pocket as I felt series for us mortals was worth sponsoring.

Two days before series start you and some others start crying out that you too want to race in this series and as result HRH removed rank restriction. Fine. From my point of view the product I sponsored had been changed since, as I told HRH, I would never had even considered title sponsoring an alien series. I'm fine with you guys entering GT-O and I couldn't care less if you are fast or not. What I do care about is that this kind of fundamental changes are made two days before series start. As a matter of fact I would also like to see rest of the R2P restrictions removed.

I do understand fully that the guys with rank above 6 wanted to race in GT Open. Especially when you only had the following rankfree GTR2 Season 8 series available to you: G3-X, NGT-X, G2-X, GT-X and GT-I.

Great race guys, somewhat boring with the rolling start and the field so spread, but had a good time trying to catch George P.
Samuel, I guess the Fuel efficient car paid off in the long run, nice choice in strategy!

I was only just thinking the other day - I have never had an engine let go on me, other than when I have purposely tried. Well turns out today was my turn. With 1 min to go, coming into T1, I look in my mirror to see FIRE!
I had been running in 11th, and doing ok so I thought. I had a great battle with the Samuel in the elise early on, untill my wheel suddenly lost power, and I started to slide. He was kind enough to tap me back round, but I panicked and grabbed first gear, which comp locked me, and I looped properly this time. I had to wiggle the power jack on the back of the wheel to get it to light up again, but had lost 2 or 3 spots.
Was running a steady race, and after my pit was in open space, laid down a few laps when the tyres were good, but realised I was never gonna catch anyone, so decided to just cruise home. I was actually short shifting if anything, and no warning, just bang.
Congrats to podium and especially to George finishing as high as he did in the G3.
Not sure if the point of the formation lap was missed or not, the last half of that lap I was at race speed,trying to keep up - by the time the final corner came the field was so spread out it wasn't funny.
Hopefully my mechanics get it right next time!!

Funny you say that Kris as looking back on my race I think the same thing happened to me.As I went to turn into the right/right at the back of the track I just totally understeered straight off & into the fence-was like the steering failed-then as I came back on the throttle was all messed up.I limped around to the pits but really had to much damage to continue-pretty poor way to start the series.

That is weird Steve. I am using the Momo Racing. In the past month I have had to fix the pedal spiking problem, only just got that sorted and now this. The old girl might be trying to tell me something. Its not something you want playing on the back of your mind during a tight race.
Just got to beg the Mrs to let me go G25 shopping I think!

I'm using the momo as well although I have a G25 sitting in its box.I was waiting until I get my Obutto cockpit till I used it as am going to set it all up with a new custom computer--might have to change plans if the momo doesn't want to play anymore.

I did turn up, but I was having problems with the BiTurbo during qualifying, so I left and tried to rejoin in the BMW, but whenever I clicked the little tick nothing happened. I tried rebooting but by the time that was done I was out of time. I really wanted to do this race but once again, luck was against me. What a crappy day....

I frankly don't care. But I will keep an eye on you and expect you to enter each and every goddamn S8 GT-O race.

Eheh Johan did you really have to curse him even for the GTx event?

Nonsense aside, apart from the win and no mistakes the race sucked since I was only fighting myself... Too bad I couldn't pull a new record, was really close.
