Termineagle Rouen 1.5 hours

That was pretty fun. Had a PB for qual which put me in a decent starting position.

Race started and I got away from John and was pressuring Jerry when we came up on Barry. Barry must have had some damage or something because we caught him up pretty quickly.

I got by Jerry with the help of the draft and found myself in 4th but then dicided to spinout and gave away 3 spots. Soon I passed Ericson (i think) and Barry again and was working on catching Jerry again.

Pitted and was really pissed that I got passed by 2 cars on the stop. The 3 of us rejoined together, I mean right together and add another car coming at speed. It was hairy heading into the fast left before the chicane and it appeared that John backed out, I assume expecting disaster. But we got through without incident.

I repassed Barry again and worked my but off trying to close up of Jerry. Finally for the second stop I pitted with Jerry just behind me. He got out first but the gap was now down to just 3 seconds. Finally I got to his bumper and got a nice draft but there wasn't enough room so I had to wait until the next lap.

Coming off the final corner Jerry pushed way left and I seized the opotunity, planted the throttle and spunout DOH! Got it going again and managed to not loose any postitions.

Had some very near moments in this race at one point I found myself bouncing between the walls heading towards the chicane but managed to keep it pointed the right direction and only took small damage.

Great pace by Conor and Tristan, and a nice podium for Jerry.

I was really sloppy in those final esses and apologize to anyone that had a scare from me.

Well, there i was, having some really great battles with John Onofrey and Barry Hedrick and able to hang on to a gap to Kent Welker that stretched at first, then seemed to stabilize at 3.5 to 4.5 sec., running a legitimate 5th half way thru the race, heading into the fast left hand kink in section 1 with a couple secs back to Barry, when my game freezes.

Post mortem shows the Nvidia control panel reset my fan to "auto" control. GPU overheating has probably been the cause of my recent game freeze problems.

Oh, well, one more thing to check before every session...

I had a pretty solid car for this race. Right before the first pit stop, I was running right with Tristan and even got by him after he messed up the chicane a bit the lap before we came in. However, everything went downhill from there. Coming into the pits, Dennis was right there in front of us with Tristan to my left. Both Tristan and I tried to get in there as fast as possible but we came up too quickly on Dennis and it caught us both off guard. Since I was boxed in, I had no where to go but into Dennis' diffuser. After I hit him, I rushed to turn off the damage to be fixed just as my pit stall was quickly coming up. I cut in quickly and accidentally cut off Dennis at the same time...and I still missed it! Very sorry about the whole situation, Dennis. Nothing about it was intentional. Everything happened just way too quickly and I had very little time to sort it out correctly and decently.

Since I missed the stall, on the first attempt, I lost quite a few seconds to Tristan coming out. Because I didn't repair the damage, the car was not nearly as fast as it was before so it was bogged down on the straights. Little by little, I lost ground to him and because my mind was somewhere else the last half of the race, I committed quite a few little mistakes here and there. Once a four second difference after the stops, ballooned to a 30 second deficit by the end. Crappy race all in all. Was lucky that I finished 2nd.

Grats to Tristan on another solid win and a special grats to my teammate, Jerry, for a podium finish.

Yes, apologies to Dennis... all three of us were in the wrong place at the wrong time, with very high closing speeds. If anyone is to blame it is me for not backing off and allowing Conor room to zip in next to Dennis.

I also had damage after this, but since Conor was having troubles, my reduced attack percentage actually got me to go faster, as in the 2nd and 3rd stints, I was no longer overheating the left-front. All of my laps in the 3rd stint were 37s.

Not the cleanest win. See you all at Russian Ring.

Uneventfull race for me, first few laps I had to dodge cars that had trouble but never really had a close battle all race. Fun putting in some laps on this nice track in these cars that I'm getting comfortable in.

Sorry DM for adding to your troubles by cutting you off, you dove in late but still had your wheels at my door so my bad.

Gotta miss next week but I'll see you for the remainder of the season!

Alright, can we get an official R2P ruling of some sort? Tristan isn't allowed to race in another Fabcar race until that slacker downloads the skins pack. :D

If only all chicanes were like this one. Awesome track, great flow. Great job by everyone, couple of hairy moments, but the nature of a highspeed tight track, it's to be expected.

I had about a 9 second lead going into the final pitstop, had to fix minor aero damage from brushing against the railing to avoid a spun car. On pit exit, caught a little bad luck, as a car was just flying into the kink, so I had to check up on pit exit, which allowed Kent to come out only 3 sec back. He was pouring on the pressure. Luckily, his rears let go on him at the moment of truth, and I was able to breath a sigh of relief, and just cruise home.

Not a good one for me. On lap 4 Rob lost it in the left turn just after the hairpin and went pinballing around the track. I didn't have enough time to stop so it was a pick left or right and hope moment. I chose...poorly.

The barriers fed me back onto the track and a couple of other people who'd got past Rob safely then hit me, sorry for that guys.

To make things even better, after limping back to the pits behind Rob we were sharing a pitstall, so I had to wait for his repairs until I could get mine. Long way down at this point, race over.

No problem Rob, it was just one of those things, the real worry is that in just three races I've gone from battling for 4+5 with Jerry and Kent, to 10th, to qualifying 13 and not expecting to be much faster in the race. I really need to figure out where I've gone wrong and get my pace in these cars back before the next race.

Well my race was short, started off ncie and was making good progress but then my game started to stutter and just went awol so I parked it as quick as I could. Turned out a debugger event had come up

Had a very strangr thing happen that I have never seen before. I was having some sort of issue with the latency bouncing up and down bug time. I re-booted, reset my modem twice and still had problems. But this is the strange part.

We were in practice and it was going just fine when Tim announced we were going to qualifying. So there I sit waiting for it to change over.....hmmmm I whispered to Tim and asked if he changed to q and with the reply of yes I was still in practice. By the time it changed over 4 1/2 was all that was left....very strange but it worked out because I was in such a hurry to get a q lap in that I ended up 3rd on the grid! :-O

The race didn't work out so well though as I just plain overdrove it trying to keep Conor and Tristan in sight as long as I could but ended up grinding on the rail damaging my car. It just wasn't the same after that. So I just struggled with it and tried to finish the best I could but ended up in a great battle with John O. Just about the entire rest of the race I could NOT shake this guy. Great racing John! Had a pretty hairy moment after my second pit when coming around on the front strait as 2 or 3 cars were coming out of the pits and damn near hit a couple of them but managed to squeek by unscathed...whew!

Was sad to see teamie Dennis leave early as he was doing pretty well in the race. Again great racing John and congrats to Tristan once again along with Conor and Jerry on the podium and a hats off to Kent too. See ya at the ring!
