PRC-West Montreal

Every time I get into these cars I am reminded how awful the physics are...I decide to add a little wing to make the car a little more stable in the corners but all is does is slow you down in a straight line...It handled just as poorly with the extra down force...Never again...

Well it is really to bad that again was a weak turnout. Obviously the few of us that showed like the series. Also to bad none of us had anything close to challenge Wyatt, but thats cool I like watching fast drivers. Last week was Pat.

I will see ya all around I am sure, but don't count on me in this series unless I see at least 20 signed up already.

I suggest merging these two series. There doesn't seem to be enough support for an east/west division with this mod. Sure, the physics aren't all that great, but they're fun to race and that's all I care about.

I followed Tommy Christian around the entire race but found it impossible to pass since his lag wouldn't let his car sit in a stable line on the track when I got close. :) Nick Johnston spun in the final chicane on a preceding lap which provided an absolutely great race to the finish. The finish between Tommy and I was a tenth of a second (if that). Great fun. :D

Oh don't take me wrong, I think this series provides a good a racing as anything. But with more drivers I don't think you will see much 13 second gaps like we see with 10.

I have no idea if the leaders had a good race, I couldn't take the time analyze the position bar and see what everyone else was doing. That last lap battle for 4th, 5th, and 6th is why I'm here and why I unabashadly like this series. Unfortunately it's one of the oldest mods and much has been learned about tire modelling and c-of-g in rF since, maybe GSMF will release another one day with further updates. I think I'll go check after this.
But I'm getting off topic, that was a freakin' blast. Nick comes blowing by us on the last straight like he has an extra gear, I think we need to impound his car. Of course, he has to make that final chicane ... (see pic).

Ray and I "met" several times, but it was all just good racing. After tapping us off in T1 he was the gentleman and made sure I restarted ahead of him to resume. Everyone was rock solid to me tonight, unlike the usual slight jitter and low positional update of GTR2. So I was jittery to you Ray? I may try to adjust my upload speed then in the config. Nick, do you remember if I looked normal to you when you came by +10kph?

And I do believe congrats are in order to Wyatt for the new lap record.

Well, I'm a jerk. Signed up for this race and missed it without de-registering. So much drama in my life right now that I totally forgot. Hopefully I can get back to racing soon...

Oh yeah, so that's my personal race review of this race I signed up for.

Personally I love the PCC cars/mod. I dont think they are hard enough actually... I liked the old GTR1 P-Cup cars... what a bear those were huh?

Anyway, we will give this series another week and see where it goes. You should all try to remember that we get dozens of new members each day, some will like PRC and like it even more in this time/day. However, if it has to be dropped, that is OK too. Obviously there are other sims/mods out there that are in much higher demand, and we can always put those into the time slot.

I signed up and should have been there,but with 2 gtc races already in the day with the 1st one starting at 5am,i just couldn't get motivated for another race,srry.
