F2: Fuji

Despite the result sheet, this was actually a very fun, very competitive race for the first 15 laps. Of course the top two charged off, but the rest of us had a lot of dicing (and spinning) until people eventually starting breaking stuff. Saw Edwin 8 feet in the air in a cloud of grass & carbon fiber, too bad, because he was definitely the best of the rest. Then I slid wide and popped off the rear wing, Nuno must have crashed or disco-d, but then something must have happened to Scoot to give me back 3rd and by God I'll take it :)

I'm not sure what would have happened if we'd run full distance. I barely survived 19 laps. Hopefully I'll make a few more at Montreal.

I agree...this was alot of fun. I was very enlightened that everyone was driving well. I hope to see you all at the next track...rank at or below 5.0 premitting of course.

Congrats on setting track record Peter. But, you need to work on that launch control...I might run a race in the future where I don't spin and you'll have to eat my dust if you don't get out in front. It also makes the rest of the pack bunch up which can lead to wrecks even before the 1st corner.

I didn't realize LC was permitted. I don't remember ever using it for Rfactor so I had no idea what I was doing at the start. I'm over the max rank so I'll be out for future races. That track record won't last. I did a low 1:16 in practice online with low fuel race setup. Q should have been mid-high 15s.

I turned down the engine boost to 2 after you spun at the chicane and I just kind of putzed around. At one point, I spun looking up at Mount Fuji LOL. Had more speed on hand but I was a bit out of it for this race.

R2P F1 Montreal should be real interesting. Spins are going to happen and high attrition with all the walls so enticingly close. I'm going for a low DF, rear stable setup for next Sunday's race.

Actually, your rank is 5.0 when using standard rounding, so you can still make it. Me on the other hand now have a 5.1 rank, so I'm out unless something happens between now and then.
