F2: Montreal

What a great race, just bad luck for me. I started 2nd, after finding out that there was Parc Ferme. I had to use super-softs the whole race. I jumped onto the grid to find out that my RealFeel Force Feedback had given out?! I had no response from the wheel at all.

I continued in second until i had a minor spin, and 3rd took over. That was also the lap of my one pit stop (half way through the race). Had a good stop, and came back out in 3rd. Felt very quick, so I overdrove it while in dirty air, and smashed into the wall sideways.

The Sideways hit meant that i lost front AND back wing. Went into pits very disappointed, stayed in pits for 155 seconds. Saw that Tom came in for his stop, but he wasn't able to stop because I was in his pit spot. Tom, im sorry, I didn't know that you were going to stop that lap. It seems that you shared a pit garage with me. Was going to say something to you before the race, but chatting wasn't allowed.

Came out of the pits in 8th, pushed into 6th, going very quick. Kept pushing, but due to the lack of response from the wheel, i spun one or two times before the end.

Great race, this is now definitely my favorite series. This was my first Race in F2, and my first race in Rfactor. Great Clean racing.

EDIT: anyone else notice that Igor and Cristi got a tie for fastest lap?

Qualified 4th and got 3rd place at start, but one early spin made me loose many places having to wait for the field to pass. After that it was all a race full of little mistakes for me, sorry to anyone I might have messed during the race.

Good luck for the last race of the season, I won't be able to be there due to schedule.

I wish I could have joined the fun. Tried numerous times, but once I joined the sever it would give me a trainer car and boot me once I got to the track. Any ideas what was going on?

It was nice and easy. I mean, the car, my mood, weather... everything was perfect and I won for the first time on R2P.

I am fascinated with the car, still. Perfectly balanced, powerfull car, controlable... Congratulations and thanks to the crew. Still hard to find the words for the car this time. You could do all what you want with: accelerate, brake, turn, everything steady, with confidence. I think that I drove with at most 90% of the cars ability. Saddly, there was no need to push some more. And that surprised me a lot. Must be the setup. I probably had better one.

I would like to thank to all the guys involved in this race for a clean and fair race, with blue flags fully respected. Also, what I saw - few times the guys who spinned, returned to the track with care - not to collide with incoming racers.

And yes Andrew, I noticed that tie for the fastest lap with Cristi:) Unusual and funny.

Well this was my first race at rFactor and first in open wheel racing :D So it wasn't so bad. Still didn't get the hang of it until about half way in the race, but I started to enjoy this a lot. Got to test the pits cause they are different from the ones in GTR2.
Overall, I'll race more at openwheels cause it's a lot of fun :D

Anyone can explain? Cheers!

Cristi, to use launch control (if the car ios prepared to) you just keep pressed left control key when in neutral, then keep pushing accel and the car automatically shifts to 1st gear. Once you release control key the launch control starts to launch the car smoothly and there you go.

Congrats to Igor, Balle and especially to my old SoCalMotorsports teammate, Tommy! Well done boys. : )

I had a great time at this event even though I had a bit of trouble keeping the rear wheels behind the fronts! lol

Had some fun laps with Tommy, Balle, Cristi, Andrew and a few others - thanks for the great action boyz!

It was a real surprise to see my old teammate Tommy Gunn at this race, been a long time Tommy, welcome back.
