To Dan Ortega: Very very sorry about the punt on lap 1. I don't know what happened exactly, but the end result was you way off in the sand.

Served my drive through, then spun on consecutive laps after that. Found a rhythm but still frustrated, then on the brakes at the end of the backstretch I put a wheel off, launched off the end of the straight, end result is broken rear splitter. Fixed that, still couldn't drive the car, and eventually retired. First non-forced DNF in 14 events.

Really thought I was getting this car figured out after a good race at Fuji. Almost deleted the mod after this one.

After getting my best ever qualifying position of 8th, I was feeling pretty good about this race....until the Keyhole on the 1st racing lap!
I ran a tad wide, due to cold brakes I reckon, and coming back onto the black stuff, being very careful to stay on the outside, I think I was hit at least twice and ended up just about at the back of the pack.

I got underway again but clearly there was too much damage to try and continue to my 1st planned pitstop. So after pitting and getting repairs, new tyres & a fuel top-up, I setoff in 22nd place to see what could happen.
I managed to get back to 12th before pitting at around lap 29 and dropped to 14th, but leaving the pits I switched off the limiter a bit too soon and got a drive-thro'. Could it get any worse!

Anyway I ended up working back up to 12th and was pretty happy to recover and get some points. Thanks once again to all of the other drivers for making this such a great experience.

Hearty congratulations to Ivan, he must have driven an absolute blinder to pull back the gap I had over him before the pitstops.

Qualifying was irritating as I could not for the life of me find any grip. Scraped together a half-decent lap but was miffed as in practice I was confident I could go down to the mid 13's.

Had a great start to the race and put a gap between me and the following cars, leading upto my stop however I was really struggling with the backmarkers. I seemed to be down on straightline speed but was very fast round the technical parts of the lap which meant I would catch guys at the worst possible moment. A couple of times I was held up quite badly, I think this was as much a reflection on my own inexperience of dealing with lapped cars as it was the inexperience of the cars I was lapping. I tried to use my headlights sparingly just to warn drivers of my presence, apologies if anyone misconstrued that as me bullying them.

Just one thing I'll say if I can, please DON'T slow mid corner, particularly in a fast corner such as T1. on three seperate ocassions I had to take avoiding action when drivers stood on the brakes just as I was closing on them. Hold your line till the following straight and let the leader do the work.

Otherwise, I quite enjoyed the race, after my pitstop I was behind Ivan. I pushed too hard trying to catch him on my outlap and half-spun putting me 13 seconds behind. Had I not done so I think I would have been right on his ass at the end.

Congratulations Ivan buddy and well done to everyone for a largely faultless race.

After crashing, with a bit of help, I was not able to qualify and as a result started at the back. Not a real disadvantage as I was seriously off the pace. A couple of other incidents rendered my car permanently damaged and I sort of limped to the end. As this was my first race of this type I'm not sure if I should have retired at this point. I do apologize to anyone I impeded, as I tried to move over as soon as it was practical. I am really amazed at the speed and skill of the majority of the racers. And this is a "novice" class!!

Been awhile, knew the race would involve a lot of letting the leaders through. I think I ran a decent race, though knew I wasn't pushing it as I wanted to just keep it on track and I could push a bit harder when needed.

After looking at the replay, my sincere apologies to Jon for letting off out of the exit of T1, thought you'd be clear but obviously wasn't, sorry and hope it didn't do too much damage!

Overall, 14th is OK but was on track for 12th or 13th but made a few errors through out the race that cost me a lot of time.

I couldnt get a clean lap in Q, wasted 4 laps driving down pit lane to get out of traffic. Wished I was closer to the front, would of like to try to chase Jon and the rest of ya.

OK with finishing 5th, just wanted the Team Championship.
Nice job by people getting lapped, really good heads up.
