Outback Showdwon

Comedy of errors for me. I got crossed up real bad on the bridge jump and completely missed the landing. I went over the wall and down to the lower level of the track where I drove around a bit trying to figure out where I was and how to re enter the race. I drove through some ribbon marker and figured out which way to go when a few cars went by. I think I picked up a few spots which I quickly lost when I hit the first grader tire. The front end seemed perdy bent up. It wasn't showing any damage but it would turn fer' beans. It was early in the race so I thought I'd go up the ramp and get it fixed. I was sure I hit the pit entrance ramp and entry road ok but they wouldn't pit me so back out I went. It wouldn't turn unless you had the wheel to the lock, count to 10 and then pick up the throttle. If you held your tongue just right it would sort of turn. I was just getting the hang of the turn to lock, count to 10, pick up the throttle, hold tongue just right when my luck ran out and I ran over another grader tire. Killed the motor and put me out of my misery; so I got a hot dog at the concession stand and watched Dennis and Garry who put on a heck of a show. See ya' next week.

I sucked, but really enjoyed this event.

Never got comfortable in the Buggy, don't how I qualified 4th. Race was great, til I clipped a tire which took off my left front wheel. Tried to get back to pits but without a front wheel I wasn't moving so had to Esc.

Oh well, I'll do more of these cause I thing they're great fun.

Well after my brain fart in qualifying I started all the way in the back. Not very many entries which if you haven't tried this mod you don't know what your missing!

Anyway running through the field I was closing the gap to Dennis and Garry litlle by little and I mean very little there just wasn't enough time in the race but that was about it. Ended up 2nd in class and 3rd overall.

Congrats to Dennis and Garry on the class wins!

As Barry mentioned, If you have not tried these, do it! Especially here at R2P, some great action. In fact I qualified 3rd(Thanks Mark Peeler!) and then went on to smack the wall on the bridge the first lap. I pulled into the pits and fixed her up and was able to(with the help of some failures of others cars)still end up 4th and 3rd in class. In fact my wife had to kill a bug that had gotten in the house that was flying around me and I did not even sense this. That is how these pull you in!
