FN: Mid Ohio

Mysteriously losing a sec in qualy I found myself ninth on the grid, but all sorts of shenenigans on lap 1 meant I found myself 4th. Ran 5th for a while, but I was over driving to try to keep up. Sure enough, with about 10 laps to go I ran out of talent and road at the fast double right hander and left my rear wing. Had to pit and that was that. Great series and a great bunch of drivers. Because of scheduling conflicts I probably ran my last Nippy race. I want to thank JR for offering this and see you around.

Not sure what happened but got punted bad lap 1 turn 1. I made sure i gave alot of room to be safe in front of me. But not sure if that's why i got hit. I gotta watch the replay. After that had total damage and went to pit, lost it going into the pits and got a drive through. i was quite frustrated at this point. So i took myself out of the race. Not a good showing. But must add my quick 2 cents. I'm fine with the fixed setup, but am requesting minor tweaks like brake bias. It doesn't affect speed or how we will be racing one another. It'll just help stability for some i'm sure. Maybe i'm the only one but i usually run way more front brake. I just felt like after 5 laps or so when the rear end got lighter, the car just wanted to loop around on me in braking. SO that my 2 cents. just wondering if that possible. I don't think it'll affect the outcome much and i'm sure i'm not the only one who would like that to be left open. Anything else i was fine with leaving in the fixed setup.

Lap 1 was bad..i dunno what it is with drivers this days but they just don't seem to grasp there tires/brakes are cold and won't work right away when needed. but i managed to pull away after seeing Scott get drilled i moved into 4th behind Kevin for a while, keeping up with him i saw him lose it a couple times but couldn't get by, finally he lost it for good and i got by to 3rd where i was behind Tom, Caught up to him and took over 2nd after he spun out as well. Had some great battling going on for 2nd i was trying to hold my line every turn until Tom hit me from behind and messed up my wing a bit, from there he took 2nd and i had to settle for 3rd because my car was in no way to contend for the win. As for Scott's saying about fixed setups i like the idea as well but Brake Bias would of been nice i was noticing myself around lap 10 the back end was so loose i would of liked to balance out my braking more to the rear, Saying that i liked the idea how everyone was the same it shows who has the real skill. I had a great start (no launch control FTW!) and took the lead from George off the line. I had clear track, so I wanted to put as much distance on the field as possible. But, eventually, George caught and passed me as if it were nothing. Things got interesting on lap 13 when a lapper spun in front of me and I went head-on into them. Then, I spun after recovering coming into the Carousel, and Kevin R whacked me (Sorry to you too, Kevin, I know you had a great finish lined up) I had to catch Matt after those two incidents, and did so to take 2nd.

Dam Scott, The replay shows, and I remember I had about a foot to spare before "getting into" your left rear. There was no contact but it shows your car being launched. I know there was room......Sorry dude! Definitly was not on purpose.
On the last lap down the back strait I was moved on twice / blocked and it allmost took out the Sandman....why couldnt we just race 2 abreast thru "madness" and "thunder valley" and the faster man win?

Inkman and Cummings where going at it in front of me for a couple laps , then Cummings out-broke Inkman going into turn two. In fact, that’s what everyone did. Inkman almost ran over Zargani going into two, but he locked up his front brakes and slid off, allowing me and Sharp to get by. Good save Inkman. Zargani and I went at it for several laps banging tires and such, then Pritchard stuck his nose under me out in the back section, I almost took him out, sorry Pritchard, I was so busy with Zargani I dint see you.

Last lap action, Cummings and I where racing hard for position when the leader Sandman came up on us going into turn two. Cummings let Sandman by going into turn two, then Cummings got a tow going down the long back straight. I move over to let Sandman by, and I realize that sly dog Cummings is going to try and sneak by in tow. I slam the door closed behind Sandman and almost took out Cummings. Your skills Cummings saved us both. Sorry .. but it’s the last lap!

Great Fun All

Congrats to Tom and Matt on 2nd and 3rd. Great racing guys! Nice jump on the line Tom! I backed off a tad thru turn one to give Tom room which only allowed some 3 or 4 cars to get runs on me. Thru turn two I got elbowed ;-) outta the way! WTG guys! Teach me for backing off a bit. I then started to try to work my way back up to Tom. I got back to within a sec to Tom and just kept pressure on. Tom bobbled just a bit and I got by. I had no problems with any lap traffic. Just an overall good race! Congrats to all that ran.
