Daytona 400

Oh well, enjoyed it whilst it latest.

Did not seem to have massive pace but was happy just to sit in a pack and see what the later stages would bring.

Unfortunately got caught high three wide to bring out the second yellow which caused some damage, but not as much as the screen shots.

Think two cars got in touch and I tried to go through the middle then got nailed into the wall and that was race over. Shame but one of those things.

Well that wasn't really all that much fun. Race was ok but forgot to change grill tape for the lower temps and could not recover from that. Qual was pretty good though. Think I ended up started 6th maybe. Can't remember right now.

Sorry Nick. I got nailed by someone on the outside which sent me into the grass and then back up the track right into you.

Also sorry to Kurt. I was behind you in the pits and something weird happened not sure if it was lag or a frame rate issue but ran into the back of you trying to pit.

Blew up on lap 142. Great race prior to the blow up but I just hate it to end like that. Oh well, shit happens. Thanks to the guys that helped me across to avoid the DNF :)

First I want to thank my sponsors who gave such support probably had a top ten car...and of course, DB Motorsports for the setup. I added some camber ( + and - ) to the rear but it was basically Tim L's set-up -- and very fast especially after I added some tape after the first pit stop.

Apologies too Nick and William as I had a good run there but had to check up in four(?) and decided not to challenge you guys and went too high and hit the wall - came back and hit one you and caused that chain reaction.

Grats to Bob and the podium.

Me and Sam weren't the fastest cars out there but working together as we always do we would have had a shot at the win. Unfortunatley I managed to put the car in 1st gear on the banking under caution once which sent me into the wall and my car just lost its edge from there, which put us on the back foot from then on. On the final caution me and Sam decided to gamble and pitted late (hoping for a caution that would get us to the end without another stop). The caution we needed never came but the strategy did take us from 5th and 6th up to 3rd and 4th by not getting in the scrum coming to pit road with 8 to go (don't know what happened to Tom and Jim but we managed to pass them in the final green flag stops). It was nice to have a reletively caution free race, just a shame we didn't have twice as many cars out there.

That was a long race. I was running well but experienced some technical difficulties towards the end. My car lost power and pegged at 175 mPH. I tried to get together with Barclay since he also was having the same problem. We were talking back and forth and the dreaded windows "hot key" minumized the game to the task bar. I crashed and my mike was stuck on. I was able finish the the last 50 laps with Fridley as we limped around the track. It was cool waving to the field as it went go by us, twice. Congrats to Bob for the win!

I appreciate the apology Mize. It did not wreck my race, but my neck is in a brace. lol

Once again though, Dan & Conor, please be off the racing surface before you slow down for the pits. And at the very least be on the bottom lane coming off of 4. I know you 2 are great drivers, so I'm not too worried about it, but it had me quite frustrated at the time.

Just happy not to DNF. Had fun at the end sticking with Kurt for awhile. We were both very slow, but I still had a fun cruising around the track.

Congrats to BOB FAY, nice win!!!! I was really looking forward to running this race. Then a thunderstorm came thru and the power went out. Hate when that happens. Hope that nobody was effected by the disco.
