IRL: Nashville 150

Good race to all that was in it.Grats top 3.I had a really good race going at the start.But after laps i couldnt get my car to handle at all.So i pitted and changed some things.Went good for a few laps but back to where it was not good at all.Then i got so loose i went a round and flipped but landed on my wheels.So i pitted and had a few good lpas but back to no good it was.Iam just glad i finished the race and had a good time.

heh...yet another nonsensical DNF. Another disco but due to a power outage; whole block went down for a minute. Just when I thought I had a good car to compete for a win. Murphy's law has kicked me hard in the ass many times this season...

Oh well, at least the last two races are road courses. Really looking forward to those.

great race! of course i say that now but i was singing a different tune around lap 23 when i got knocked into the wall and rolled it over sliding down the frontstretch! got damage repaired but car was not as fast i managed to stay in the top 3 tho and with the help of francesco's draft eas able to run some decent laps. as race wore down i started calculating the fuel mileage i was getting and how many laps were left.i had a shot at maing it if i saved a little fuel so i did. ran out of gas in turn 3 heading for the checkered flag!!!!!!! woohoo!! figured everyone had to pit and they did. i was pumped after that one!!!!!!!

I am beginning to see a disturbing trend in my oval racing, both across TSPCC, ARCA, and open wheels with this mod. The disturbing trend is this: on some tracks I am in a very strong position, even pretending to imagine I can win. On other tracks, I am nowhere to be seen. I don't get it, but....luck would have it that here I was strong. Just like at Kansas, I knew that I could potentially win if I played my cards right. And again, I played my cards wrong lol! Well, sort of.
Qualied 3rd, which was good-- but frankly (can I be a little confident?) I didn't care that much because I knew my car was super and because of that I pitted every time there was a yellow in the beginning. Half way through the race I found myself stuck behind my teammate Gregg Mulgrew and I battled him a little bit too much before I let Kevin B have a go at him and decided to just wait it out. There was a yellow, and the battle resumed but this time things settled with Kevin taking off in the distance and myself followed by Dan White. I know Dan from countless races together, and I can totally count on the guy, and I also know he is a very smart driver. Now the race is winding down and I start thinking, with my brilliant patented Zargani-The-Idiot-Crew-Chief hat "hmmm, fuel seems okay, maybe a splash, tires no good, gotta change" I try to drag it on but my tires are fully cooked, and I've had blowups (at Indy) before and I want to avoid that. I let Dan go by because well, as my Zargani-The-Idiot-Crew-Chief tells me "you splash, new rubber, go b--ls out, White stops you make up the difference and voila'...victory!". Plan works perfectly except: 1)I pit like a grand ma and put too much fuel and 2)Dan doesn't pit and wins the race. On top of it I lose 2nd and 3rd because of my Miss Daisy pit moment.
Great win Dan-- love all of you guys, I gotta go and talk to Zargani-The-Idiot-Crew-Chief. I am demoting him to TeamSpeak manager.

Francesco You Rule! I could read ten pages of your race antics and adventures.

Dan I still don't know how you didn't have massive damage from that wreck. I watch all of it happen and I am amazed you went on and won too. That was awesome. Much like Conor's massive flip on the front straight a few races back.

Thank you guys for the kind words :-) And to think I barely made it past 1st grade (and only by bribing good old Miss Sage, whose charms were reminiscent of a drunken rhino)-- little did she now I would go far with a number 2 pencil.
