Hey, what a surprise...another disco! Gaaaaaah...

Had a fun season guys. Some really exciting races we had. Grats on the driver championship, Dan, and to my teammates at Nexus 6 for winning the team title.

It was a lot of fun watching you guys run around barber's (oh sorry birmingham). That sucks Conor.

Oh Francesco it was no problem you showing up tonight. I just got confused cause I thought I saw where you were not going to be here and then you were there. I thought I was losing my mind again.

Fun times. I am not an IRL fan, but I was bored a few nights ago and Kevin was running laps and since I love this track I came on and had a good time, so here I am.

My qual lap was my PB and I started up front behind Connor. Rounding the last turn to start the race, Connor looped and I inherited first. I started building a huge gap to second and got greedy and on lap 3 or 4 I did the exact same thing in the exact same place as Connor which put me in last and limping around the track with no front wing to get to the pits. The rest of the race was a really exciting charge back to Top-10 and once I got that I just kept pushing and ended up with 5th.

Scott: It's really my fault as much as anything that you hit me from behind there because I could have announced on teamspeak that I was damaged and going to be slow for people coming up on me. I am not used to using TS while racing though and it didn't occur to me. I just hoped you'd notice how fast you were closing on me and hold up a little to pick your run. So, sorry about that and I hope you didn't take too much as a result. I just took some rear wing damage and was headed into the pits anyways.

Qualifying was ok, not my best time but was good enough for a good position.

Saw Conor get loose on final turn and then saw Rebelo do the same a few laps later. I got handed the lead on a platter and thought to myself it would be a nice day for a good finish here as long as i keep it on the road and hit my marks. I just did NOT want to make a stupid mistake and spin here because i knew guys would be spinning all day and if i didn't do it i would make up some time.

Well i was racing hard with Banic i think it was? i would of normally let him pass because he was fast and perhaps it would be unfair for myself to keep him at bay. I decided to stick it out and race hard, but not block necessarily. I was pushing my hard tires to the limit and i saw the guy i was racing with (sorry cant remember who, i think it was Banic) and saw he had big time tire issues and was making them smoke almost every braking zone. He went to pit a lap before i was planning to, which would allow me to have better tires for the rest of the race since he would have to go longer on his new set and still race for the win, with his 50+% race to go(if you understand :P).

Anywho, i came in and knew that the pit limit was to be hit at the 'top of the hill' as somone said on TS....drove through made my stop and came out comfortably by myself.

Wondering what happened, i knew just to conserve the tires and take it easy as a had a big lead. I think with 15 to go i had a spin just after the chicane, got it back going again and my lead got cut down to 10 seconds. I then kept going and got the lead filtering between 11-14 seconds and as long as i kept it going even if P2 got 1 sec a lap on me, i would still win.

with about 2-3 laps to go i noticed i did not have much fuel left at all, i nursed it around and made it home with 2 liters left.

i must give a shout out to Charles 'Fatback' Hodges who help me get a good setup together and gave me his time.

Ouch missed second place in the championship by two points...well, the only consolation is that I would have felt a bit odd if I had gotten it because of Conor's disco. Congrats to Dan for the Championship trophy.
I must say, with all honesty and respect for the mod creators, that I do not like this mod at all on road courses- the cars feel like my son's razor sitting on a rocket (on top of it I destroy the tires after 5 laps, doesn't matter the compound or setup, but that's my fault probably). I had never been to this track,except an exploration lap Sunday night, and I did not think I was going to be able to race until the last minute-- so I was really unprepared. It showed by several unforced errors, including going wide off turn two and losing a ton of time and a full 360. I welcomed the end of the race like shade in the desert.
A big thank you to everyone who hosted, ran, and managed this series. Tommy C for the cars (sorry about the razor's comments, still love you man), William for being The Grand Pooba, JR for providing that pc while his wife is trying to read email, and Tim for checking in that we were not confusing ourselves.

GRATS TOM! I'm actually tickled to come in 4th. I had to learn the track because I've never been here before, and at 1 point I was on my roll hoop. The corkscrew that gave me such a hard time in practice was a non-factor once I figured out how wide to turn in and keep the car straight. I was able to stretch my 1st stint long enough to just pit once. That helped. Thanks for a great season all, and thanks for having me.

thx everyone! had a great season racing with ya's. sorry connor is having disco issues, need to get that fixed!!had a good race going especially after the pit and was comfortably in 4th and i think i may have been gaining on 3rd but was only trying to run consistent laps whilst keeping tires on pavement. ended up spinning out in that hairpin turn [turn 3?] got damaged so as not to be able to control car above 5omph. limped back to pits and 69 sec repair!! fell to 10th but made it back to 8th. was very happy with that.

Wanted to thank the drivers that helped Nexus 6 Racing win the team championship. Thankyou Conor McCarrell, Rob Melchione, and Tim Banic. It was a real team effort and the 1st Nexus 6 championship.
