rF3: Mills Metro Park

What a blast. Mixed feelings for me on this one, though.

First, I want to apologize for tapping a couple folks under braking. I have my pressure reduced to avoid lockup, and my timing seems a good bit off from most others. Result - when running nose to tail, I end up running out of room in the braking zones and make contact. Fortunately, with one regrettable exception (I'm very sorry Doug), it appeared that none of my taps hurt anyone. I hope this was the case from the perspective of those I bumped. If not, then I am sorry if I messed you up. I'll be working on my setup and my braking technique to avoid this in the future.

Other than that, I had an absolute blast. Had a stellar battle with Mike Guzman for a good long while, chasing him at first, and then holding him off. I ended up outbraking myself and lost the position, along with countless seconds. I'd never see him again after that. Had a couple other fights thereafter, but mostly with myself as my concentration was fading along with my tires. Had a few more offs and some damage. Cruised home to 5th, right where I started.

was a pretty lonely race tonight, after the first 6 or 7 and up until the last 5 laps i was pretty much in the open. andrew was 6-8 seconds ahead and P3 was 8-10 behind for the majority of the race. a solid P2 was lookin' good! got a good start from a P2 qualify. the first few laps were nice and clean, only problem, andrew was adding anout 1/3 of a second a lap to his lead. that guy is some kind of machine! didnt seem to matter how hard i pushed it i was a third of a second farther down each lap. all i could do was run my pace and hope traffic would hold Carson up enough that i could catch him. by about lap 28 i could see that wasnt going to happen. then i botched the esses on the back side and got up on the freakin' curb and spun, i had about 10 seconds on Janos in P3 and managed to get back on track still in P2 but it didnt last... on lap 30 my fronts were so bald i over shot the left at turn 2 and Janos was in position for a nice clean pass, to take P2 down the inside. did my best to get it back but the fronts didnt have any turn left in em'. so its P3 for me, not that i am complaining but loosing a position in the last 2 laps to a stupid mistake is a real pisser. still had plenty o' fun though.

Was a great race. Sorry if I sounded arrogant after qualifying when I remarked that I wasn't happy with my qualifying time. It was one of those instances where I did a good time, but I never got in a good clean lap. I even took two pit stops, as I only had 3 liters of fuel, and my outlap was always screwed up by either my own error, or another driver coming back onto the track.

Was a good result anyway.
Had a good race and was lapping decent times when I looked over to my second monitor and realized that my back tires (and front right) were wearing considerably. With only 6 laps complete in the race, thats not something I was too excited to see.

Tried to drive slower to save rear tires, and it worked until about lap 22. From there on, I could feel an oversteer developing, and I didn't want to test the limit of the car.

And Randy... I am no machine :-)
Just had a lot of extra practice time for this race.

andrew, what is it you use to monitor live telemetry ?
or can you just calculate that stuff in a secondary process so as not to bother your driving processor :)

First of all i have to take a question: who will stop Andrew? :)

In practice i saw that Randy and me would fight for the rest of the podium, but my internet connection didn't let me to my dreams came true. So had to start from 6th.
When i reached the 3rd place, had a 10 sec distance from Randy and i couldn't have come closer, so i took care my tires and those were guite good till the end of the race.
In the last 2 laps Randy spun off and one lap later i could overtake him.

Was a really realy bad race!! every thing went wrong keyboard ceased to work an windows update poped at the wrong time ...bumped into someone at the start finish straight first lap....took a drive through ....and to top it all failed to see the lap count and went in the pits a lap too early( i mean on lap 30 instead of 31)......so was given a DNF....well congratulations to andrew and other podium .......guys ill be back at brianza .....

had a fast car in practice and was running consistent lap. had a decent qual run and started 3rd. missed a gear on start and going in2 turn 1 i got hit but just went off. was stuck behind pete and janos and it was good racing. sorry if i went a bit aggresive on u guys. i wasnt catching randy or andrew cuz my car just never came in after 4 or 5 laps like it did in practice race.(probably cuz of the collision)i ended up spinning mostly due to frustration and then had 2 race with pete after janos ran away cuz his car came in on long run. o well didnt take that big a hit in points thanks for that janos and petec u guys at brazina
