rF3: Sebring

a clean race. doug and i had a little fun at the back, swapping wrecks and positions. he races like a gentleman. congrats to all the fast guys.

my bil, rating 4.2, would have liked to come race with us tonite but for the restriction. it seems to me we could use the bodies at this point, and i wouldnt think the higher ratings would hurt the series. i think bigger fields would be very interesting. anyone have thoughts on this?

This was a tough race.
Had a good start but arvind got me in turn one.
I gradually lost speed and eventually was overtaken by him.
Had a couple passing oppurtunities but just couldnt' get back aruond him.

Going into turn 1 the next lap I spun into the wall (on the inside) and damaged the rear suspension.
This allowed Mike to pass as well, putting me in third, with an unstable car.
I had a lot of trouble keeping the car stable throughout the race and could never push hard at all.
Somehow I adapted to the car and slowly but surely knocked down the lead between me and Mike.

Took on mike for a couple turns, and we battled for a lap or two.

Finished off in front of mike.

There were a lot of quick guys out there on the track tonight, and no DNF's!

something came up that took my time and when i came back qualifying was nearly over. i didnt chat or anything because i knew i could make my way up to the front. doug got a slow start and i was boxed in behind him but passed him before turn 1.

i had gotten around everyone else except for arvind and andrew who where fighting hard for the lead. andrew fell back and once i caught him he spun out really bad. i caught arvind and passed him underbraking so i had the lead for myself by about a few seconds until arvind spun. then i knew andrew was coming hard and i wopuld have 2 hold him off. we ran equal lap times the whole race i just messed up a few times in the last section a few times by hopping the curb and it let him catch and pass me.

Yeah Mike I was actually surprised you passed up that entire field in only a few laps. You started from back, so thats pretty good.
I was about a second and a half to 2 seconds off pace with that broken suspension. Just looked at the telemetry.

I've broke my suspension before and never noticed it... I guess you just have to be at the limit to notice.
