Megane: Nuerburg

Better race of the night for me, but span a few too many times (hence my general dislike of this place LOL) and ended up spending the last couple of laps on a flat left front, finished 8th could have been 4th.

Thanks to Kieron for sharing the setup and well done Barney on the win.

Great fun at the start Brian, I am still not sure how we managed to fit through the tight 4 turn (I think) for a couple of laps.

Managed not to hit the bollards this time and kept it consistent rather than fast, so finally got to the end.

Good race and a good start to the Megane season.

I got a better start than Sam he then shadowed me for what seemed like forever then he had a spin which gave me some breathing room I think Sam had the pace to win but a bad start and spinning cost him great pole lap Sam well done mate.

I think that not allowing people to change fuel load in the pit stop has cost people, they have already had some sort of problem ie someone may have hit them! This could put some people off joining in on these 40 minute long races if you have 100% damage at least let us alter the fuel or have it so only 5 liters of fuel will go in.

I agree with Barney about the fuel, having to pit 6 laps from the end, really hurt me when I realised with horror that 100 litres was going in and I couldnt do anything to stop it :(

Disappointing race for me. Was running 9th for much of the race, and after many laps behind him made it past Brian Duray when he braked too late for the chicane. But shortly after we made light contact exiting a hairpin and I spun into the barrier, picking up damage and blowing a tyre in the process. Took a while to get back to the pits, and then a lengthy (90s) stop. Got back out in 13th place, two laps down. With no chance of this changing, I just cruised home. Hopefully Brianza will go better... :)

Barney I think you will find that is the limitations of parc ferme rather than our rules specifically.

You need to set the amount of refill, prior to entering the track in qual so as not to get 100l in at the next stop.

However I am surprised even with parc ferme rules if you cannot alter refill amount during the race. Will try and check it out.

Nick Barney is right. Was running easily in 4th after a bad qualifying session which put me down the grid (again)

Anyway had a spin with about 5 laps to go brushed the barrier at like 10mph and the front right suspension was so badly damaged I had to pit as the car would not turn right (still think 100% damage is too much for the Meganes)
So I go in the pit get my menu up and the fuel is set to 100ltrs with no option to change it arrrgh. Anyway finished well down the field after that. Note to myself "qualify like I practice" lol.

Will need to see if we can do anything about this but not sure, the ball will be in Alan's court as the admin of the series.

The damage multiplier for the remainder of the Scottish Shark Megane Endurance series will be set to 75%.

With regards to the fuel issue, I suspect all you can do is change your setup to include one pitstop with a 'less-than-max' fuel amount, so if you *do* need to stop, it won't take as long.

Thanks for the feed back guys I will look at setting for next race hope I don't need to pit though! and thanks for lowering damage I hope this will make for more people finishing and having great racing and great fun
