rF3: Brands Hatch

Congrats to podium.

Start was again decent, not loosing my position and even gaining one spot. Managed to keep myself in the pack until in L4, a wingless car could not keep it in one of the fast turns and when trying to pass him on the inside we crashed, but I saved a wall kiss with a 360 spin and kept on going.

Again (see rFBMW report), lost my front wing in a self-spin later on but this time I had to pit to get it repaired and back to track. From there on my laptimes were pathetic, but constant driving put me in an undeserved 7th position and about to catch 6th in last lap if I had realised there was another lap left after time was over.

Fun race after all.

Drat and double drat.

Storming race for me, running second for most of the second half of the race, then PC froze, unfroze, v dodgy graphics, froze, crashed.

Apologies to whoever hit me but beyond my control this one.
However have reset any overclocking and updated drivers as this is the second time recently it has happened, think it is the system getting too hot.

Was good fun though and look forward to the other events I can actually make!

Got on pole which i was quite suprised about as Barney was very fast (with my setup :) ). Got a false start, doh, so came in for my drive through ending up 7th. Few laps later Dave spun, i braked, just knocked my front wing but the steering was knackered. It still annoys me as the damage model in the hud says only my front wing had been knocked off and no suspension damage, yet my steering was 10 degrees to the right to go straight.. Pitted, never fixed it so called it a night. 100% is just too much for these cars and its a shame as could be some good racing.

Congrats to Barney on the win and thanks to all who took part in the race.Surprisingly,I had good pace for a change and took third in quali.Seeing the pace of Sam and Barney,I knew that target was to keep my third place and was more worried about guys behind who were just as quick as me.So at the start Sam jumped,and after he went to pit I was running in P2 with Nick 2-3 sec behind.After some laps that gap increased and then I showed briliant,carefully planned,strategic move - namely "Pit for tires" :P Well I knew I could go on one set but didn't want to slide around at the end (and I "slightly" miscalculated length of the race to be honest :D) so went to pit and came out in P5 just as Kevin was comming down the straight.And then I spun of course,sigh.Now there was a mad rush to the slow righthander and I just made for it but under braking changed my mind from "Yes,you're gonna make it" to "No way man,NO WAY!" so locked and stoped just in time,Kevin went past but unfortunately clipped my front just a bit and spun.I waited for him to pass me again so we went,now down in P6,Apologies to Kevin.In the end I somehow got back to third,which is more that enough for me.

That would have been me. I must admit to being a little surprised when I hit the apex of the blind right-hander three corners from the end of the lap and seeing a stationery car there. Only a little surprised, because there wasn't time to be any MORE surprised before hitting said car! Front wing and suspension damage made my car a bit of a handful for the remaining laps. But no worries, Nick - just one of those things.

Up until then I'd been going OK, and was getting used to driving these cars in anger for the first time. They are, of course, faster than the FBMWs, but that makes them more fun, too. Vanport should be a blast!

Oh, and Team Ecosse top of the team standings?!?! Someone must be having a laugh! Great drive, though, Neil. :)

Clean start for me I knew Sam would have to pit for drive through but its always good to fight for the position even if he did not fight too hard thanks mate from that point I tried to open the gap to Amel Kovac as I did not know how the tyres would hold up and I seem to be a nightmare at pit stops
as it turned out I did not need to pit but I pushed all the way to the end long race but enjoyed it all the same grats to Dave from the back of th grid to 2nd wd mate

Amel no need for the apology. It was just racing and to be honest i am not sure if it was the slight contact we had or me getting on the gas to hard that made me spin. I do appreciate your gesture though :). It does keep things interesting when racing hard for positions.
