GT4: Donington

Two drivers DQ'd for unsafe re-entry or U-turn on track.

Well what can i say new wheel came Monday did a few laps Monday and a few last night thyen came on tonight for a few more before the race then go and put in my 2 best performances at R2P ever, Best ever quali followed by my best race position.

Got away pretty slowly trying to get used to using a clutch to pull away dropped down to 6th by end of 1st lap i think it was followed Miguel for quite a while and noticed a few spun cars which promoted us to 3rd and 4th. I got by him with a move into the final chicane but he kept on my tail round the whole lap and had Marko on his tail, heading up into the final chicane we were 3 wide ( not a good idea tbh ) i felt Miguel tap the side of my car then he spun in front of me and Marko was past and gone to fast for me. Couple laps later saw Marko crashed on side of track which gave my P3 back and it was just a pace myself race from then to the finish.

Damn sry for Darren. We would of had a nice race and championship fight :\

To my race: I wasnt the fastest, but i made no major mistakes and that ment i got a nice result. Borut was offering some beers if he wins so i just had to let him by before the flag. ;)

I finnaly had a race where I could have fun again and I was able to attack the corners more. I really enjoyed myself out there. There was a touch on lap 1 but I was on the inside of the corner and he came in, sorry if you lost a lot on that but I couldn't go anywhere. And I also had 2 near hits with some other cars on lap 1 and later in lap 4 David Brown spun right in front of my nose shich I could barely avoid.

Too bad I made 2 big mistakes which cost me at least 10 seconds and maybe P9. But I'm happy that I was able too keep David Brown behind me in the last 4 or 5 laps. I was getting some oversteer at that point and tried to push as hard as I could, never really knew why I could do my fastest laps of the race with that bit of oversteer.

I just realised I finished within the leading lap... a first for me on R2P

A pretty good result for me after a long absence. I made a few mistakes, but all in all was a nice race.

@Miguel de Raton, sorry for the little incident we had in the last turn. I was late on the brakes there, my bad.

Hectic lap one going left right left instead of right left right down the craner curves.

Tripped across Anton and had some side by side, was attempting to let him back past as I felt I had short cut the left hander under the bridge and as I moved back across behind him was despatched into the gravel upside down by Tadje. Having looked at the replay, although he had a real quick run on us due to our side by side, I guess I closed the door a bit, but did seem to come from a long way back.

Another case of don't race it without any practice to add to my DNF list I guess.

I joined tonight to assist darren in a possible championship fight with Janko, but when darren CTD'd and server wouldnt let him back in, i thought about droppiong out, but then i thought while im here i'll have a go.

After my drive through, I was stuck behind a driver i never want to be stuck behind again ... I will be making Tim aware of him aswell.

Grats to Janko on the series, and Borut on the gifted win :)

Well done to Daniel as well on taking some big name scalps. Getting the hang of that manual gearbox I see .. ;-)

4th ... I'm super stoked, since it was quite a classy field. Well done to all though.

I knew I had to just make as few mistakes as possible, and right at the end of qualifying stumbled on a nice-ish race setup, so that worked out well. And then it was just a case of taking advantage of other's mistakes, and sometimes hoping they made more than one, which (lucky for me) was the case.

Apologies to Miguel for the nudge into the kitty litter at the old hairpin. I had the inside line, and I left space but Miguel unfortunately came into me while I was just keeping one line. Luckily I came out unscathed. Hard luck Miguel, that was just a racing incident, I don't believe my fault...

I also smacked into Ricardo at one stage, but the replay confirmed what I thought at the time, Ric spun in front of me and I simply couldn't get outta the way in time.

Some of the back markers made poassing a little more difficult than usual. I'm not a proponent of flashing lights, but sometimes you just gotta let someone know you're there or it could all end in tears.

Yeah thanks Boyd, the manual is going better and better. Great job getting in a 4th place mate.
