Congratulations to Tristian for the race win and Barry for the championship victory.

I brought the wrong setup tonight. All the talk of these fast times during practice got me all in a bunch. I prepared 2 setups. 1 soft and 1 agressive. I took the grid with the agressive setup knowing I'd have to do something spectacular to unseat Barry. The field was really strong too.

I didn't do as well as I wanted in quali, but I did get a good start and found myself 4th into T1. I think it was lap 2 where I got a good run on Kent at turn 3. We went side by side through McLeans and Coppice, but he just edged ahead. I was "right up his chuff" down the back straight and popped inside under heavy braking for the chicane. I was quite proud of myself to pull this off against a quick driver like Kent. Too bad I looped it under power at the exit of the chicane. From there I simply over drove the car and exacerbated the over agressive setup. I looped the car 3 times.

I'll use this as a learning experience. "Don't let the talk of fast times get me off my game plan." I tend to learn more from these bad finishes than the good ones. Good stuff to take to the real track.

Very strong field with many people going under1.11 in quali.
I was expecting a differnet race with many cars fighting but unfortunetly Steve didnt even started so dont know what happened to you Steve then my start wasnt perfect and Tristan was able to overtake me. I was trying to follow Tristan but after 3 laps my car didnt feel the same and i was loosing time plus i was a bit unlucky with backmarkers plus i was very inconsistent. From that point it was a litlle boring no cars in front and no cars behind me so i just wanted to bring the car home in second place. Not for the first time i had a good quali but my race setup is a problem for me well second is still good result. Congr to Tristan like always very fast!

Had some problems at the end of qualifying I had to pull out. Keep getting message after my screen freezes for 4-6 secs. The message is "xxx display driver has stopped working and has now recovered". Doesnt ever happen in Rfactor but it has some gtr problems. Anyhow looked like a blast.

Very sorry for Steve's troubles... He was buh-LAZIN out there.

Qual wasn't too good for me as I had not gotten braking points right yet. I was faster in the race because I braked later and harder for T1 and the chicane. Additionally, I braked much earlier for the right-hander preceeding the backstraight and gained lots of time.. 1:10.1!! Had I applied these changes earlier, I may have gotten into the 9s for qual. "What could have been..."

I got a good start and got around the outside of maciej in T1, but only because Steve wasn't in front of me. Had he been there, this would have been a completely different race. next time Steve!!

Fun race, been very busy last few months and not driving even once a week really feeling like I am not on my game.

Actually had a decent qual but only good enough for 4th on the grid.

Waiting for the green lights I noticed Steve wasn't on the grid, had me a bit confused. Got a decent start but didn't want to be the guy that takes out the front few rows so I took a very cautious line into T1 allowing the guys behind me to really close up. I saw Tristan take the outside into the lead and just tried to have a clean lap 1.

I had made a tire pressure change just before the start and was finding the going a bit different. Like Mike said, I had a bobble early on and he was all over me. We had a little banging and Mike got under me on the final straight into the chicane. He had the inside and I figured my only chance was to brake early and try a crossover, it almost worked as Mike went a bit too deep into the right hander. Coming out I had good grip and just as I was closing in on Mike his rear end went around. I never felt anything but I couldn't help but think I had spun him. He later said that he just spunout.

Couple laps later I misjudged the hairpin and lost a lot of momentum and Barry got by so it was back to 4th again. Once I got settled in I was trying to real in Barry but not doing a very good job until Barry got out of shape and handed me the position. I opened up to about 12 seconds on Eric when late in teh race I came onto the front straight and there was a car spinning left so I went wide only to find another car just sitting there in the race line and I T Boned him. Somehow my car was not damaged enough to be noticed but Eric closed to within 2 seconds.

I pulled back out to about 4 seconds when lap 21 came and I was in shock that the race was not over. My crew had already warned me about fuel and I did some serious pedaling the last lap crossing the line empty and just ahead of Eric.

Real bummer for Steve, losing his track record as well as his pole position.

Grats to Tristan on a fine win.

Well done to Barry on the championship as well as Can Am.

A nice race.
I started pretty good and was able to gain some positions at the start, but like it always happens, they all caught up and passed me(multiple times). Anyways I enjoyed the race and was able to improve my lap times.
I did skid, drift, go off track and crash against a wall a few times but at least I didn't cause anyone to crash, at least I don't remember causing any crashes... If I did please accept my apologies.

also, about not being able to get pole Tristan; happens to the best of us. Hell, I still haven't been able to. I'm sure that with practice you'll be able to get 1 or 2 poles. ;p

Enjoyed that one, despite not actually being uhh, in it. The powers that be decided to spare me the embarassment of going off at T1 from pole and put a tractor beam on me, so when I went to grid I found myself floating high in the air somewhere mid-course looking down over the old hairpin. GTR2 surprises me yet again!

Would've been angry if it hadn't been so unexpectedly funny; nothing to do at that point but settle in and watch the race. Which was gorgeous, thanks to a just-installed HD4870 that Id gotten stuck in about ten minutes prior to the race. Not quite as quick on my old CPU as the 8800GTX was, but the IQ is just fantastic, and the rest of the coming upgrade will sort out the FPS. Overdue!

Tristan just wailed on it as usual, and while it looked at first like he and Maciej might go at it all race, the gap gradually grew and I started watching other races. Was actually onboard with Mark watching him have a good fight with Eric when he blinked out. Not my night... ;-)

Some great racing out there guys, all through the field. Really enjoyed watching it, and it was a lot less stressful than trying to hold of Tristan would have been. Don't think I had quite enough pace in race trim on fresh tires, but it would have been close. I'd gotten into the mid-9's in qualy trim offline, but only a 10.3 in race trim so there wasn't much in it. Well done all!

Pretty good result here in the end. As usual,I couldnt replicate my prac times in qual, and ended up starting 15th(14th after Steve's exit). Must of made around 4 or 5 places off the line and through the first turns, and settled in behind Les. We ran together the whole race and the only real chance I had to get him was under braking into the final chicane. Had a few attempts at it during the race, but nothing promising, so I held back. It all fell into place on the last lap with a lapped car coming into the equation, and finally allowing me to be within striking range for teh last turn. I managed to get the nose in there, but Les was rock solid, and full credit to him .
Ended up in 7th after Marks disco with only 2 laps to go, unlucky there for sure.

Hard quali but a good position in 9th. I pulled a nice overtake at the start and on turn 3 i understeered into the grass and could not get the car to stop going downhill. I rejoined track and spun (clipping someone). I found myself in dead last (27th) so climbing up to 14th was fun.
