GTX Estoril

Wow, I was so bored out there I was about to start hurting myself...

The racing was great, but I've really grown to detest the Lambo... and Estoril... I'm starting to dislike GTR2 in general...

Eventually I got to the point where I just wasnt concentrating and lost it coming out of the chicane, so I quit.

First, sorry to Ari! I didnt see you tucked in behind Tolga as he approached to lap me. I got right back on the throttle, and there you were, holding onto a tank-slapper because I chopped ya. That all black Lambo is quite hard to see in the mirrors, but that's a shitty excuse. Apologies.

My bad luck continues. After some great racing with John Passmore, I pitted early to try and get a clear pitlane. As everyone pitted I found myself solidly in 8th, over 1 minute in front of 9th place, Dennis Morrisette. I should have started to back off right then, because at 15 laps to go, the engine grenaded. I like the Lambo, just don't have enough experience in it to know how to save it for the final laps.

I survived!

Race was pretty boring, loved every minute of it.

I had a spin right when Ari & co. came to lap me, it was 'cause I was looking back to see how far behind you boys are, luckily I found the reverse right away and moved off track.

Somwere after 1st stop my cat decided he finds it amusing when I blip the throttle so he was jumping all over my legs for quite some time. LOL

Now, I finished 9th, I want my extra points, dammit. :P

Grats Janko, and podium finishers.

Firstly sorry to Ari who was just behind me for half of the race. I was very defensive and sometimes maybe made dangerous moves. Sorry again Ari.

To my report:

Qualy was awesome. Increased my pb, got pole and i think that time was the lap record in estoril in R2P.

In race; My start was really horrible and lost the lead to Janko who always sucks at starts :D Then i started to chase Janko. I was following him too closely. Then after lap 15 my tyres started to go flat. It was too early, i wasnt expected this. But my car was sliding every part of track. It became irresistable after lap 25. I tried to resist a bit more before pits and let Nuno pass me who caught me coz of my very bad pace. I pitted in lap 29 and came back just behind of Ari after his pit. His tyres were cold and i could pass him in s/f straight after one lap. I knew same story will be happen and this time i drove a bit conservative while my tyres were fresh. Ari was chasing me too closely. My tyres got flat while 10 laps to go and i was defending like hell against Ari, i was a bit harsh in some points i think but defended to my life lol.

Grats Janko for the win, i held Ari and slowed him otherwise he would catch u :P

Been a while since I drove at Estoril so I took some time to get used to it again and improve the setups. That worked fine. Took med/med and a full tank of fuel cos that Saleen really like a drink on the road. The race was all about fighting with Rory (good to see you here) for 6th place. We both had our mistakes and changed places a few times. I must have done a quicker stop cos after that I had a lead of about 8 seconds. But Rory was slowly reeling me in in the 2nd stint. I made a small mistake and that gave him the chance to get by. One lap later I got a terrible lag just before that awfull chicane. Cost me about 15 seconds and that was race over for me. Saw Janko in my mirrors but he wasn't pushing too hard anymore I think. So I managed to finish in the same lap he did. Well done to the podium and I'm curious to see the championsshipstandings after this one.

Even half hr before qual, my laptimes were realy sucky...but i convinced myself to stay and try to better them, since with more practise they were gonna get better.

I qualified 2nd, just a little behind Tolga, and got by him in T1. Then i was defending my place heavily, since in early stages i think the ones behind me were faster. But i made some nice defensive driving and Tolga wasnt able to pass me. I was sure Scott would get me, when he came behind me, but he made a mistake and i was safe till pits. I stayed 3 laps more then Tolga, and 2 laps more then Ari, which was a big plus for me. When Ari came out of pit, he had to let me pass since i was lapping him, even though i was driving +2s on my racepace. And behind him Tolga came and they had a fight, partialy cos of my lapping. Then i pitted and came out 7sec infront of Tolga, and then just cruised to victory.

Good race all, no problems what so ever and i guess that decided the winner.
