E21: Livet Glen

Congrats winners of race&champ.

My memory is weaker everyday, I just finished this race less than one hour ago but cannot remember the details (I'm mixing memories with me following race in Skoda Cup).

Anyway, it was a follow-up race trying to catch up (as always for me) where I had a nice battle with Tim to finally get past him for 9th. I feel there's something missing in my report, if I ever ge time to watch the replay again I'll put some more details.

It was fun to race this champ, good luck for next one to all of you who race it.

Congratulations to Raul for the championship , i was hoping to give some challenge but unfortunately i had a pretty bad final race and couldn't deliver this time ;).

My race went downhill before it even started , i had practiced some with the V1 Livet Glen track and even if the layout was same , the landscape was quite different and grip felt a bit different too. Had a lot of troubles finding proper lines and braking points and overall the setup felt a bit different from what it felt in V1. To make matters worse , i had an Porsche Cup race just before this race and i didn't have time to test the online version of the track.

Didn't find a server or track link and i totally forgot to check it later. Ah well , should have checked the version from R2P ftp..was a bit poor preparations from my side.

On the race itself there were several (too)close calls , when i could have punted someone. Held my breath several times and just waited for the spin but everyone get on going with only some minor difficulties. There were so many different lines and ways to go through those turns so it was very hard to anticipate the braking points sometimes, because the cars were packed very closely to each other.

Glad that no-one didn't crash in that 4 car fight where i was most of the race , there were some offs later but not from contacts i believe. It was very intense and fun fight , althou it required a lot of patience and sometimes felt a bit frustrating when i saw the championship slipping further and further away. TBH i wouldn't have had the pace anyway for the leaders but wanted to keep on pushing as long as possible , you never know what can happen out there :D.

Some tight driving and well kept lines there meant that there weren't much opportunities to make a move and all cars in that group were very close , so the mistakes and holdups cost positions immediately.

Finally managed to make some moves and others had some problems too , so i got into 6th place and after someone dropped out , i was 5th. Not really the result i was aiming for , but so it goes sometimes. Some bad luck and some confusion before the race took it's toll but Raul was driving well today and deserved the championship...well done :).

Thank you gents for the season , didn't think i would have driven it through but only missed a one race and i had a lot of fun here. These cars are fun to drive and they take some contact too without spinning immediately , which provides close racing and lots of action :).

My race didn't get off to the best of starts when I 'punted' someone at the final hairpin on the opening lap. After serving my drive-thru, a good result was impossible. What made it worse was the driver I punted was later removed from the race and the race results. Oh well. I had fun trying to get as many positions back as I could, but could do no better than 12th.

Grats to podium and championship winners. I hope to do some more races next season.

I didn't know the track and only made a 4 min training before the qualy (arrive house just in time)
In race lost lot of time trying to overtake at Jose, anyway my laps time didn't improve so much while I was knowing the track.
