CT Racing presents E21: Longbeach

A complete failure. Qualy was a failure, 3 seconds off my best for misc reasons.
Got a good start of the line but went wide in T1 trying to avoid hitting cars, but found myself into the wall with other cars. Heavy damage, dead last. Had a great time climbing back actually, but the car was so damaged it was not fun to drive it. Only reward was a great battle with Dan Ortega which lasted a few laps. By the time I climbed to 11th the field was gone, my tires were shot, my steering wheel was a Salvador Dali picture and I was stuck and ran out of laps. After being spoiled with some nice finishes, this one I did not like.
Forgetting my stupid race, this mod is fantastic. Great car handling, so much fun to drive, definitely one of the better mods for rF. Great turn out too.

Fancesco, that was some great racing! Sorry I held you up, but I was going to make you work for that position! haha

Also had some great laps with William G. towards the end. I just knew you were going to try a last ditch move at T9! lol

Well, we did come together but looks like you got the worst of it - I'm sure your car was as damaged as mine was after a couple of wall bangers earlier on. That was fun William, I would have probably tried the same move there too! hehe

Sorry to see pole winner winner Barry H. knocked out (almost hit your wheel! lol) That was a great run while it lasted and thanks for the s/u, did my pb with it but was still way off your blistering pace!

Guess my old Panoz nemesis, Jim B. must have had his share of troubles as he was down in the doldrums with the rest of us. We just have to do better next time Jim. : )

That was a fun race at my home track, cu boys at the next one.

EVERYTHING ...went wrong in this race, qual, i never had a clean lap, and during my fastest lap, one of my teammate and i touched and put it in the wall, lost a wheel, went into pit for 95 sec. came out but didn't had enough time left for a hotlap.
Race, disco T1, damaged the car, never was able to fight, like many others i guess, lap 14, game freezes, end of story, had to reboot, i had a fun fight with jim b. during a few laps at least...
Maybe a comment to admin for this serie, should it be a rolling start to prevent what happened in T1???

This is a great mod. Unfortunately I don't know how many of these I'll be able to do, as the start time is a bit late for this east-coaster.

Qualy:

Never got a clean lap, but I think that was a common problem. My practice time would have put me about 15th, so I only lost a few spots.

Race:

Got a great start and moved up about 4-5 spots. That lasted until T1. :-) I came around T1 and *oops* there are two cars sitting at track-out. Almost got stopped, but I whacked one of them. When I got going again I was back where I started. I ended up letting Francesco by a few laps later when he got inside of me in T9. I then got to watch Francesco and Dan battle from about 1-2s behind them. That battle allowed me to close, especially when they went side-by-side through the complex before the hairpin. Francesco got by Dan and I got in behind Dan. I got past him in T4 and set about trying to pull away. I got a bit of a gap, but then worn tires and brain fade set in. I spun and Dan got by, I spent the last few laps trying to catch Dan. I got a good run on the back straight, and I thought I could get past into T9. We bumped, I spun, and Dan was out of reach. Sorry about the bump, Dan.
