Sorry, had to leave race. I'm really bummed, from the times I coulda been up there, and wanted to make up for prev race. When I wanted to join the race start grid I ended up in the "sky", falling... weird. The track was visible above me, but no go. I tried again, and I saw my name wasn't on the start grid. wt..? I was still "somewhere else". Then, as the race started, my name popped up on the grid, falling down through the standings. Dunno if it was my pc or the server, but I couldn't start. No prob with qualifying or warmup. Apologies. Anyone have any ideas why?
PS. Congrats to finishers and podium!

Was a good race, not that I actually raced anyone, alone most of the time, as usual. Interesting though - during practice my front left tire would really overheat bad, then during the race the first set of tires had no overheating problem, then the radio guy said tires worn, so I pitted. The new tires were terribly overheated in just a couple laps, really strange. Finished better than expected - 9th in class, so I'm happy with that.

ahhhh did not realize could have made it on full tank of fuel. What a great race for the first 20 min with Ryan and Mike, stuck in the middle with almost identical lap times , awesome.
Mike what the hell happen to you, after the tight right you were behind me? Then a DNF was it internet?
Great win George but some of your passing needs work, just because we are in a slower car does not mean you have the right of way and you know I like racing with you in the SAME class. Enough said...Congrats all and better pit strategy for me next time shall yield better results!

What a race!
Spent the first part battling Aaron whilst trying to put pressure on Bryce. Noticed Bryce was getting a little loose, and managed to get up alongside him, only for him to outbrake himself into the next left hander, bounce off a lapped car and cause Aaron and I to take evasive action. Not sure what was going on there Bryce, but it seemed a little irrational.
Aaron had the porsche eating me up thru the turns, but luckily enough the M3 had a bit extra on the straights so it made for an interesting first half.
My original plan was to try and make a set of mediums last the whole race, but with 20 to go I realised that wasnt going to happen, and quickly had to work out my new fuel load. That didnt go to plan, as I had to pit with 2 laps to go and take on another splash.
Was sitting nicely in 5th, but the pit at the end dropped me to 7th.
Good racing for most part. Usual problems with a few of the lapped cars trying to run with the leaders, but nothing major that I saw anyhow.
Congrats to the podium, and Team mate Rob for making it there.

First of all Great Race everyone it was my first mixed class race and it was fun.

I got a bad start and the M3 in front of me did too so Greg got by and Mike was already in front so I was third in class. They were both quick but with them battling I was able to catch up and got by Greg and then the battle with Mike started. I didn't want to push too hard but Greg was only 2 secs back and I didn't want to make this a three car battle. I spent alot of time .4-.8 secs behind Mike and just tried to hang with him. He made a small mistake and I was able to get by luckily as I don't think I could have passed him. From there I just tried to be consistent and conserve my motor and tires. Last 15 mins were rough having to go so easy on my worn tires.

This was my first R2P event since Jan. so it is good to be back. CONGRATS George!!

Well I blew that one. Big props to George for taking advantage of my pit issues. For the most part, my race was pretty good, but when it came to the pit stops, everything went down hill. Took a long time making a decision on the pit board and when it came to refueling, I forgot where my ignition and starter was and just started pressing buttons on my wheel. Apparently it did turn off but I didn't hear it shut down and kept pressing buttons which turned it back on. Needless to say, what was supposed to be a 40 second turned into a 62 second stop...doh!!

Busted my ass trying to catch George who was a good 10-15 seconds ahead at first. Traffic was hell to get through and caught them all in the wrong places, but I did manage to get to George on the last lap. Was right on his bumper coming through the esses and tapped him in the rear through the second to last corner. He spun around but wasn't damaged so I let him by since I would have hated winning like that. He deserved it anyway...great job, mang! :)

This season should be fun. Hopefully this Porka turbo will be competetive at the other tracks too...give those damn Beemers a run for their money ;)

Man, I sucked seven ways from Sunday. Let's see if I can count the blunders.

How to suck 101... maybe 102 even.

1. Got home barely in time to get in to begin with. Zilch for practice on raceday before Q.
2. Realized immediately the wheel was set on 900 degrees and had to exit out to fix it and re-enter during Q.
3. Threw on softs and guessed at a Q setup, never having tried one at this track.
4. Got stuck in G3 traffic in Q, then overheated and had to pull off or get DQ'ed.
5. Ran a decent 1st stint given the above, but then got a D-T for speeding in the pit since I haven't done a stop in GTR2 in so long I forget the limiter goes on automatically and hit the button, defeating it!
6. Ran out of fuel early in the second stint for some unknown reason (setup looked fine and it should've been good to go to the end - started with 100L and it was set to add 38L - no clue on that one).
7. Missed the pit and had to crawl around a lap in a high gear on way less fuel than I should've been able to do a lap on. Noticed the pit board was showing 3L fuel to add when I pitted. Big Hmmmm... Checked the setup after the race and it showed 38L to be added at the stop. Never seen that one before...
8. Went off a couple of times from sheer hamfistedness, and bumped a G3 driver once going by.

Almost passed on this one due to the time; should have! Apologies to all for stinking the place up, and a big congrats to George and UK-NL FTW!

Bummer,2nd race in a row with troubles.Nothing untoward on the server until end of qual when i noticed some wierd timings,then when it went to race,i was in the air somewhere.

I didnt think I would even keep up with you guys. I couldnt get any speed. At the last minute I stiffen the car up and it kept me in the G2 field atleased.

The entire first stint was spent trying to find away around Kris. I had the gearing set for the GP track so I wasnt maximizing the gears the way I wanted. I got owned on the straights against Kris and Bryce's Beamers, but would close in fast braking for turn 1.

I tried a few desperate moves on you kris but I didnt want to risk getting into you, as the ass end of my car was all over the place. I took medium hards and hoped they last the entire race. After a stop for fuel I though the beamers didnt need to stop but they did. I figured you where changing tires when I came around and saw you still sitting there.

I saw Rob coming after me and thought for 2 seconds I could hold him off. Boy was I wrong, nice job Rob.

Finished with the tires worn warning as I came out of the final corner to take 4th.

Very good run and no problems getting around the lappers.

quite pleased with tonight's result, considering how much i really hate this track. it just never feels right to me. no matter how good my base setup feels elsewhere, i always find myself wasting practice time trying to correct what feels like a significantly lower level of grip, rather than just figuring out how to make the car work in the problem corners.

my only off came in the second stint when i ran wide in the esses. it was quite irritating at the time because i thought i'd just cocked it up for no reason while trying to leave room for Mike Miller. Mike had given me plenty of room, and i was planning on leaving him plenty of room. i felt no pressure, but for some reason i just missed my brake point.

now, watching the replay, i see that i was subliminally distracted by his engine going up in a ball of flame just as i was about to go by him. that's my story and i'm stickin' to it.

bad break Mike.

this was a great experience, even if it was on a track i really hate (have i said that?). the layout forced me to drive much more aggressively around the G3 cars than i would have anywhere else and i learned quite a bit about being predictable and safe while getting thru as quickly as reasonably possible.

i hope the G3s feel i was as considerate of them as they all were toward me.

GTR is configured to "fill to" what you have set for the stop. No way to change this that i can see, as you can in rFactor.
