VvC: Anderstorp

Congrats podium, great race in a difficult track for me.

Best moments of this race were first few laps when we were very close in a group of three or four drivers, lap after lap, until the faster guys managed to build a gap little by little.

I gained some positions and that's good news for me, as I got to climb up step by step and very slowly.

Wicked race today.
I just cannot qualify to save my life here. I tried a run with softs b4 entering server but no go. So opted for racesetup with a lower fuel, ofcoz that wasnt gunna do any blistering laps, but 1min b4 I was quite pleased to be in P2, and went to do other things but got back and saw I was pipped down to P3...wtf! lol

Great so now I'm behind Janko sitting and hoping he will react quickly for a change, but ofcoz he doesn't so I get bumped promptly, luckily that seem to speed up the car abit so could just hold position into T1.

After that its basically 20 laps hell bent for leather with a car between 0-1s in front and the same gap behind. Got Heinzs slipstream once but not close enough and almost fail to stop in time, bumps him abit I think in T2, but we carry on, but now I have Krueger behind. I can't really make a decisive impression on Heinz since he doesn't make any major mistakes, and car is not working well when getting too close so some troubles out of some of the turns, resulting in some rally driving - Viper Style.
Luckily I have my trusted reargunner Samuel not taking advantage of my desperate attempts so I can manage to hold on to 3rd, which is a good result.
Knew pretty much 1st place was sewn up when Mr. Vette joined heh

Made a nice lap in Q,... still could probably go 23.9... but was happy with this one.

My plan was to stay in front of CJs Viper after long straight and although i had a bad start (or because) i managed to do so. Then opened a gap to Heinz to 6sec and never looked back. Just cruised from lap 8 or so on... but that easy driving made my mind go away from racing so it was hard to concentrate ... would be easier if i was going full throttle all the time hehe..

Grats podium cya next friday im not drunk... pff.. that might take some time.. :P

I had a very nice race with a lot of Battles. I was the Vette in a Viper sandwich and was loving it. Was was concentrating 2 much on the guy in front that I did not look on my left front tire.

The car became unstable becouse that tire got 2 hot and I spun. It cost me 2 places. But a 8th place is a fine result after a DNF with the Viper last time around.

I never got a good tow from a Viper in the entire race. Some Vipers got a tow from me. The Viper VS Corvette is a nice concept. I will be around next time for sure :)

Great fun after a small break , enjoyed the race a lot even if i did finish only 4th but it was close racing through the stint. Took a bit easier while behind CJ and it was fun to work as his wingman this time :D. Vette was running fine with CJ's setup , even thou i had some understeer at the beginning but it came better as the race progressed. No big problems and a solid drive , just what the doctor ordered so i'm happy :).

Qualified 12th, my lowest since joining...so race plan was to finish inside the top 10.

start was manic, got away good but i had a car slow infront of me and mircea looked as though he stalled so just tried to get close to the wall to avoid them but with this going on someone tapped me from behind into the car infront and that put mircea sideways into the wall infront of me, i hit him square on and luckily for him straightened him up :P

then at t3 i got alongside a car on the inside - i kept tight knowing it would be close but after viewing the replay he bounced off me and i got punished after the race by +1 lap! i don`t think it`s totaly fair, this was one of those lag touches the way his car bounced off :( anyway no point going on i only finished 7th anyway....

had a great little scrap with 2 Dutch guys for most of the race and again i made no errors in a tricky car to handle, so happy about that.

Will have to miss the next one - but i`ll be back ;)

Congrats podium. This was a nice racing concept and I hope I will be able to run more of this races.

I realy like this track but unfortuneatly for me the race ended to early when I met Anthony Dadley, who was pointing in the wrong direction, in T1. After that the car worked "less good" and I took a DNF to not be in the way for of the top drivers.

There are alot of super fast guys here, I did not expect to qualify down in 15th place :/

At the start there were a few slow movers and even with my very long first gear i managed to make up a few places and by the end of the lap i was in 10th place :D . I had very close company ahead and a very close David Brown behind me for the next few laps.

After Anthony Dadley made a mistake i tried to pass him on the start finish line, which ended with me clipping his rear corner and spinning him off the track. I would like to take this opportunity to say sorry for that.

On the next lap i put to much power down exiting a corner and put myself onto the grass, this put me back to 11th. I managed to cross the line to finsih the race in 8th with two cars very very close behind me.

Very happy with a final position of 7th after starting 15th and what a great battle vipers vs vette is.

Sorry for that Jens. I had made a mistake and ended up losing my advantage over the group of cars behind me. I then got a tap that spun me off, and I must appologise, I entered the track again before all the guys had passed. and got totally wacked. Sorry to all whose race I might have spoiled.

Up until that point I was happy with my race, holding 8th, so I'm upset with myself for not holding it all together. It looks like the screen shot posted by David Brown was just after I had that tap.
