a good race. a few many cautions but it was ok. had a great green flag run. mike arn hope you looked at replay of lap 14 and saw what really happened with you and me.
I had a good car not as good as jeremy's but it was a pleasure to drive. very consistent and stable
note for momo users. on iracing when you calibrate your wheel it tells you what degree of rotation you have. mine is 215 degrees so i went into settings in arca and set my wheel to a 220 degree rotation and i gotta tell ya it was much better!!!!!

that's is good to know about the wheel rotation. My wheel was showing 226 degrees of rotation. I reset my wheel in ARCA to 230 degrees and there is a difference. My car does not feel as tight. Thanks for tip Dan

Dan if you are talking about "Steering Wheel Range" that only changes the graphic so the wheel in the game matches your wheel rotation that is on your desk. I asked about it here

As far as the race: 12 guys, wide track, it should have been caution free.

I think there were only 2 more cautions after you left Jeremy. Hey, at least our sims have the ability for cautions :-)

Thanks to the guys that taught me something that night. I never knew about the admin /clearyellow function (duh!). That really helped shorten up those final two caution periods. I will use this more often.

Congrats to Dan, Mike A,and Jim. It was a fun race. Ran my best q time. Had a good car. Different set from thursday. I found out how many laps the tires will hold out. Not pitting on lap 88 (i think) hurt. We went that long green run with green flag pit stops, but before I went in the f/r tire blew, hit the wall. Once the pit stops cycled thru I was a lap down. With only one more yellow, there was not enough time to catch up. Happy to finish the race with the thunderstorms in the area.
As far as cautions, yea in a perfect world it would be nice not to have as many, but not all drivers are of the same caliber. During the race I witnessed one driver who rarely spins, got loose exiting turn 2 and around he went. It happens, all of us has brought out a yellow flag. IMHO I accept it as part of racing. It changes strategy, makes ya think. And sometimes can work to your benefit. Just ask Jim on that one. Hell even the pros in R/L make mistakes.

Yep, I figured that I was done after bouncing off the wall a little too hard & flattening the rf tire.
Managed to get it down to the inside & around to the pits without bringing out a caution, but ended up in 10th 2 laps down in the process.
Wouldn't you know it, I just got going again & the caution came out & since I was the only one laps down I got the Lucky Dog & one lap back.
Then we had the long green run & I slowly made up positions as other racers pitted.
I was about 3/10s slower than normal with the rf damage, but somehow found myself in 3rd when we had the final caution & I got another Lucky Dog to get back on the lead lap.
After that it was just trying not to make any more mistakes & bring it home.
All I can say is, even when things look bleak you gotta keep trying...

about the wheel hmmmmm let me think about this. hmmmm
ok i got it. on iracing the wheel cal is only for graphics for showing wheel in game. so if i had a g25 it would show 900 degrees of rotation for the incar wheel. my wheel shows 215 degrees. so if i turn my wheel all the way it would be matched by the movement of in car wheel equally. if i had a g25 set on say 360 degrees it would show me turning the wheel one full revolution correct? so the game sences your wheel rotation and thru an algorythm it determines how far to turn the actual wheels of the car if i turn the wheel say 1 inch off center so if i have another driving game that wants me to input the max wheel rotation isn't that doing the same thing? frankly i had it set higher before and i was melting the tires off it. been having that problem since running arca and sat nite i believe i fixed it. the car was fantastic on the long runs. hell i at one point had an 18 sec lead over 2nd place and was only 3 sec behind lapping 4th and 5th!! the wheel thing works!!

Actually Dan I was talking about in Arca. It is only a graphical change but think what ya want. I am not sure what your point is about your lead over the other guys is. You usally are fast until you self spin or hit somebody.

Dan I just tested it. I went from one extreme to the next. If you changed it 5 degrees and noticed a change how did I go from 90 to 1440 and notice nothing (yes I restarted my computer each time) other than when you turn on the wheel in the graphics section it moves more.

I agree with Dan, but maybe it is a placebo effect..lol

My car was tight on entry and loose on exit. I looped it once exiting a turn, bringing out a caution. I was OK on a long run and passed a few cars that were on old tires. I had nothing for any car on fresh tires. I was happy to finish the race.
