GTN: Birmingham

Great race.
Had a decent start (does anyone else think those pit stalls are too close together?) and a good run. Tires lasted a lot longer than I thought they would, but I had to pit for fuel.

Great job to the podium, just didn't have the extra half a second I would have needed.

Thanks to all the back-markers who let me by without a problem. See you all next time.

Oh and ryan... why do you have that "thanks..." mapped to one of your buttons? :-)

Overall I am pretty happy about the result aside from the "thanks ***" that Andrew mentioned that would be from open lobby gtr2 racing i do. Sorry it was directed towards no one I was adjusting brake bias.

Qualy went ok I started smoking with 3 opening on radiator so had to pit and just couldnt get my perfect lap after that. Started 2nd.

Race start was good I got the hole-shot and just had Adam always under 2secs behind me till about 37mins in I spun then the next lap spun again in the same spot. After this I had to change strategy and pit since rears were overworked. I came out 5th and got back to 3rd where I was a ways behind 2nd and 1st so I just relaxed but then with 2mins to go I caught up to David Brown and finished on his rear bumper.

Good competition here today I hope to see you all next time. Once again sorry for the comment in the middle of the race.

Great race all round. Quali went smooth for the first time, went out first time round and stuck a decent lap in for a banker so I decided to just stick with what I had and be abit more aggressive, that got me the pole.

Race start I got some wheelspin and Ryan slipped by, I sat with him for the first 10 mins or so and then a backmaker balked me (no fault of theirs) and he pulled a gap of about 2.5 which he held. So i thought I would take it easy for the next 10 and be aggressive for the 10 before my pitstop. Ryan span so I passed him before that.

Pitstop was longer than I wanted, and I see David go past and I thought how the hell? Think you kept the same tyres on right DB? So 16 seconds to make up in about 17 mins, the car felt great on less fuel and new tyres. Managed to get past David about 3 mins from the end, he half span I think.

Backmarkers were very good. Well done to Ryan and David.

Overall I can't complain with pole, fastest lap, track record and my first win along with the teams, and to cap it a 1-2!

Short race for me.

Got nailed twice in the tight chicane (racing incidents I'm sure).

What got me to hit ESC was the stupid "drive-through" penalty for "cutting track"!

Like I did it on purpose! lol

Really bad weekend for me, just glad I have ArmA to fall back on.

Congrats Adam and podium, really need to rename this series as amateur, novice is an insult to the high skill these boys posses.

Qualy went as well as expected, had to come in early due to smoking engine, that put a bit of a damper on that, i knew i had to get 5 consecutive laps together if i was to break into the 1m16s which i almost did and session ended just as i came to the final turn again :P 3rd was good enough though :)

Race was fast paced at the beginning trying to keep up with Ryan and Adam, i was about 0.5 off their pace so just recalculated my strategy to try and pounce later on!

came into the pits at the 40 minute mark and thought what if i could just fuel up - maybe i could sneak infront of Ryan and maybe Adam too, passed Adam in the pits after a great pitstop and exited in 1st with 15s to spare with 20 mins left, i knew it would take a miracle to stay there with Adams pace! drove my ass off for the remaining laps fighting the car with slippy tyres and almost pulled it off, but Adam proved to quick and he passed me going into the final turn for the penultimate lap and we had a touch and i got sideways, problem was Ryan was then on my tail and i had to drive really hard just to seal the 2nd place!

Fastest guy won! Well done to Adam and a 1+2 for Phoenix too :D also well done to Ryan really kept us on our toes and i noticed Andrew kept me honest in the first 20 mins too :)

Had a small moment with Levi - thought he could`ve yeiled a bit better than he did, no harm done luckily.

Well i will have to miss the next one while i`m on holiday, but i will be back if my ratings don`t go above 6.0 by then.

My apologies to Dan for the punt going into the first corkscrew. I started braking earlier and down-shifted earlier but it was still not enough. While I had some lag, this was entirely my fault. Went straight into the penalty box - didn't have to be told.

And it goes against my nature because old slow guys shouldn't be punting old slow guys!

Start was a bit messy - some contact at back.

So I had some aero damage but elected not to fix it. Was right behind Nuno but lost in the last complex. Settled down and somehow got into eighth.

27 driver sign up and 15 race? What gives there?

Well, it could've been worse. First online race with GTR2 ever. Really wanted to finish, but oh well. At least I didn't wreck anyone.

Sorry David, I think I know which time you're talking about. I was pretty nervous to have gotten lapped that quickly and when you came up I thought you would've accelerated past me out of that turn. I was already off line from a bad exit and didn't want to jump back in front of you so I just lifted some going in to the hairpin.

I'll have it figured out better next time.

Don`t worry Levi, i was more worried that we`d touch and end up in the gravel :P it`s easy to assume the faster car will accelerate past just as much as you are expecting/hoping the guy infront doesn`t do anything irrational :P all part of the fun ;)

Quali went pretty good, better than expected. P9 at the start. After the first lap I was 6th. But in the 3rd I hit the kerbstones in the chicane and I was stuck. I've managed to get loose. The next lap, same story but now I hit the wall. Race over
