GTC-East Estoril

My each pit stop took over 50 sec :S
Saw in replay, people doing it in 23 sec.
Was running 2nd until pitting took place.
After loosing 1 extra minute in pits, i guess i could finish even more back down the grid.
That was my 2nd GTR2 race on r2p with pitting involved. Each time i lost like 5 spots because i did something wrong.

Oh Well, my 1st DNF in R2P. My brother & I were bumper to bumper for the 1st 1/3rd of the race, with him infront. I beat him out of the pits by 3 sec. With cold tires, I'm looking at him in the rear veiw & laughing & proceeded to spin the rears & slap the wall hard, game over!

Had a pretty good night at Estoril with a 3rd place finish after qualifying 5th. Sorry to my brother Garry, He was in front of me and got sideways, so I thought I was clear and moved over only to find out he was still there....my bad. Most of the first stint spent trying to keep the front 4 in sight. Had a good pace running mostly 40s but it wasn't enough to catch Kent and Sam but did manage to keep them in sight for the first half when pits started to take effect. i went to mid race with back to back pits that worked out with 2 14 second pits (the best I've had so far). I'm not sure what happened to Kent and Goran but somehow I ended up in 3rd place after all pits were taken care of. Not able to make any time on second, but Kent was behind me and was makin time fast and toward the last few laps was right on my arse and I damn near went off the track a couple of times but managed to hold him off to the finish. Another congrats to Claus and Sam for there 1-2 finish. Also another great job by the CanAm guys, We all finished (3 of us)in the top 10. WTG

after a top 10 in the early race, i was really looking forward to this one. when i plugged my wheel in, 5 min before the race, it was stuck to the left. arg

seems the momo is getting old. one of the wires on the wheel pot had come loose, but by the time i got it fixed, the race was well over.

Well I am happy with a 4th place at Estoril. Joined hte server JUST before qual, no warm up and more important, NO SETUP. I have been trying to stay off the computer lately and well, never took the time to prepare for this event.

Grabbed my Barcelona setup because both tracks seem to have high tire wear. Did my warm up and qual at the same time and managed 4th on the grid.

Got a good start and followed Goran through lap 1. Soon I was falling back into the clutches of Krueger. My car was not turning well and with such little front grip heading on to the front straight I was loosing a lot of time and Krueger got me there. After about 9 laps the front felt like it was on ice LOL and Barry was gaining on me. I pitted at the end of lap 12 with about 2 seconds on Barry.

Started stint 2 with 4 new tires and the traffic was making the drive interesting. Actually had a decent stint making it back to second spot when on my pit in lap I screwed up and spunout losing 6-7 seconds. So as I pitted Claus was pulling out, I figure at that point I am 25 seconds behind the leader.

I rejoined in 4th and 10 seconds behind, not bad since my stops were both in the 25 second range compared to Barry's 14 seond stops so I am feeling pretty confident. I raced my ass off taking huge chunks out of Barry lead until I get within 3 seconds. Now my tires are losing the front grip again and the last 3 laps we pretty much mirrored each other, sliding off at the same spots and basically struggling to complete the race.
