Watkins Glen Grand Prix

My first go at open wheel and even though I broke the motor just past halfway, I had a blast! Hope I didn't cause too much havoc on the circuit. Can't wait for the next one!

Congrats to the podium, it was a quick pace. I need to apologize to Ryan Robbins for poor judgment on a pass. I thought you could see me on the inside and when we where side by side, your rear wing came off. It didn’t fly off. It just attached itself to the track and you went sliding off. Good race.

Wasn't worried about Q, but for race I went with a 1
stopper.
Was running second, behind Chris M for a while, may of been
quicker for a bit was happy sitting there helping protect
his lead. My brake foot was falling asleep! On the straits
I had to lift it and move it around, then spend a second
positioning it correctly to brake correctly. Lap times
started increasing. When I pitted I finally got it to wake
up a bit .Iwas reeling in Rob, who I assume was on a no stopper and was conserving fuel. I went to go under him in T1 but I choked. Was definitly do-able, I just didn't do it.

I knew I did not have the pace to finish very high here, but I was having a decent race and running in 5th place. Then I got rear ended and sent into the wall hard. I will not say more about this incident in post race. I limped back to the pits and filled the tank full with medium tires. I was forced to drive a little more conservative from then on to be easy on the tires. Great race Chris and congrats! Very impressive times for a no stop strategy.
