GTR Evo fun run

That was fun, pit stop worked out very well -- created a Pit Preset before the race to just add fuel only. Came in on lap 8/9, brought up my pit menu before I entered the pits and scrolled down to the "Confirm" box. Rolled into the pits with a nice BIG white arrow pointing to my pit bay that shows distance to it in feet which turns green when I'm in the stall.

Hit enter to confirm fuel only, engine off, fuel went in quickly (at last fueling devices that don't take forever to fill the tank), waited for fuel to stop, hit starter, and off. Yahoo, pits that work and work well.

As for the race, was fun, Dwayne kept some pressure on until he pitted. But I'm guessing he took tires on during his pit stop?? After my stop I had about 22 sec lead and drove a safe pace home. Tires did wear appropriately and could feel less grip with more fuel and old tires. I started to get a better feel of how GTR Evo implements oversteer -- needs more steering input that expected to catch it. Probably need to adjust my FF settings also as it's pretty hard (strong forces) - got a good arm workout.

Didn't have any warping/lag issues at all even at that start. No cars suddenly re-appearing, seemed like pretty solid network code to me, certainly a big improvement.

I was planning to bring the Vette, but after checking out the times in the Euro race, I decide to try the Spyker. Dial it in as much as I could in 30 mins but definitely got some more time left on the table with more time in the car.

All in all, pretty enjoyable event, certainly worth $20 purchase price. Looking forward to other events, especially the "street" cars.

Had the same issue when I pitted as in the 1st fun-run. Couldnt get the car refired. Left the server to try an offline race and pit. Found out that the car shuts off and starts up by itself, but I have pit assist off?? Anyway, I guess I was hitting the ignition button after refueling stopped and was actually shutting the car down since I was unaware that the game was starting the car already.

Sounds correct, I just hit the "Starter" button, not ignition -- so it could have done been doing the refire automatically.

I think pit assist is just for when you enter pit lane, it will take 100% control of the car.

Hmmm, GTR2 was OK with only an ignition button mapped. Thinking about it, I guess I never stalled out on course to even need a starter. A "neutral" button for the spins and offs for sure, but never needed a starter button.

Sorry about my shitty driving Bob. When you ran into the back of me that was all me. It amazes me sometimes that after all the time and miles I`ve logged on all these racing games over the years I can still go out there and drive that fucking bad. Bullshit.
