Set a pb time in qualy and was happy with 3rd.
Uh-oh. Race time comes and I'm invisible. Damn. I start my race as normal and then ease off the track and wait until everyone passes. I cruised easy in the back tryin not to pass anyone and hoping I would become *visible* soon.

About 7/8 of the way around, I get the nod from race control that I'm visible again. I head out and pick up a spot heading into T1. Heading up the hill after the hairpin, I get sideswiped and sent off the track backwards and into the wall. Back to the back again.

With nothing but a bruised side and no wing damage, I head out again. I worked my way all the way up to 6th at the end with some nice mini-battles along the way. Too bad about being invisible, who knows where I would have wound up otherwise.

Congratulations to the podium, I hoped to get more out of this first homerace for me but it wasn't too be.

My Qualy time was decent could have gone a bit faster but didn't get all the good sectors lined-up and had to start P12.

In the race I had a very good start, quite somewheelspin of the line but so did some of the other cars and I was able to get P10 in turn 1 after getting a small tap on the right rearwheel. Luckily there was no damage and I could still drive a normal pace and was even able to watch and participate in a battle from P7 to P10. It was good while it lasted because after a small mistake I tried to push hard but went on the throttle a little too early and put the car in the barrier losing my nose and engine cover. After everybody had passed me I had to drive back to the pits very slowly, which offcourse I lost loads and loads of time and the pitstop also cost me about a minute.

After getting out of the pits and being lapped but some of the rivals I ended up right at the point I was before I crashed (only 1 lap down). Pushed like crazy and managed to take 1 position to get P13 and was also catching up on P12 but the time was too short.

All-in-all not to bad considering I was driving good just made 1 big mistake. Hopefully more luck in the GTpro race for me.
