GT Sport

Got the blue screen of death while sitting on the grid waiting for the race to start. Apparently, I haven't been updating my drivers lately as the BSOD I received is sometimes related to that. Pity since I was really looking forward to this one. Pretty much, my first laps in this game were tonight and I really enjoyed the feel of the car. Looking forward to next time :)

Shame you had problems Conor; same for John M. Thinking SimBin have some work to do on this one yet.

It is fun to drive though; I spent my race trying to hang onto the Marcos. No idea how it stacks up relative to the other cars, but it's just such a goofy car I had to give it a go. Constantly bouncing and skittering around and transitioning between understeer and snap oversteer, it was a blast trying to keep it on track.

Tried like heck to stay with Barry early after a good start, but was over my head and basically ran the tires off it by mid race. Started pushing really bad, and I got off a couple of times trying to drive around it. Had good dices with George and Les on my way backwards though. I even thought I might have one shot left at Les in the last couple of laps, but made a small bobble and that was that.

Well done to the podium!

Had a great start making 2 place off the line, then shunted/shoved from behind from the exit of the chicane to the next right turn off the track into the sand. Thanks for that and i didn't see anyone take a drive though for it. Race was wrecked after that as that put me 2nd last....only gained places back by other ppl's misfortune. Waste of my time...

EDIT-I see this was due to me being invisible and i accept that nobody was to blame. Obviously these bugs haven't been sorted out from race07 :(

Steve had a better start and moved into 2nd. But after about 8 laps I felt he was slowing me down while Barry took off. After a small off I managed to get 2nd back again but couldn't close in on Barry enough to make him nervous. :-) Grats on the win Barry.

Too bad this game has still a lot of issues. By far not as reliable as GTR 2.

I got some good laughs during this race. The car in front of me at the starting grid did not move, so I went around him. I settled in behind Garry H. for about 3 laps until he went a touch wide in turn 2 and I passed him on the inside. Later in the race I simply overshot a corner and went into the grass. I dropped from 5th to 8th place on that move, and I was running behind Larry Anderson who was also driving a Spyker. He and I had some great racing that lasted about 10 laps. I kept coming alongside him and then backing off because there was not a safe way to pass. Nice driving Larry!

Late in the race Larry spun out in front of me on the last turn before the straight, I could not avoid him. T-boned his car pretty hard. After we got back under way I could see another problem, I was running out of gas. I tried short shifting but to no avail. Halfway through the final lap I coasted to a stop. Larry was nice enough to push me around to the finish line, Thank Larry!

You guys up front were way too fast for me. Hopefully the turnout will improve for this series. Congrats to the podium and to Barry for the win.
