GT Sport

2nd week in a row my GTR evo locks up. But this time, it happens when I'm leading with 2 min left in the race. Absolute bitch slap to the face. However, I am pretty sure I narrowed the problem down to video card temp. It was probably nearing 100C when my lockup happened which is definitely too hot for the 4850. Got a new version of ATI tray tools and I've bumped down the load temp to about 80C with faster fan speeds.

Anyway, congrats to Garrett on the win. You earned that one, man. Could not do anything with you the first half of the race. Unfortunate you had that off, but apparently, you would have won anyway :P

Lucked into 3rd in this one due to Les and Gary getting bad starts, Vincent having an off, and Conor vanishing late-race. Worked late and barely made it home in time to jump in after qualifying had started. Had done 5-6 laps offline this morning, just enough to remember what a farce this version of Zandy is. Kind of fun to bounce around on, but sheesh. Maybe my motocross days would come in handy after all...

Almost drove the Marcos again, but didn't feel like dealing with the lousy view over the giant hood bulge. It was bad enough with the terrible stuttering I was getting in the slow turns anyway; Hugenholtz was a slideshow every lap.

Tried the Mosler this time, and worried at first about it going loose over the crazy bumps with most the weight in the back. Needn't have worried though; it was stuck tight in back and I ended up toasting the fronts by midrace. Tried to hang with George up to then but really didn't have it wired and once the fronts gave up I just tried to keep it on track and not screw up.

Good win by Garret who was going darned quick, and a nice job by UK-NL if I do say so!

A very nice lap by Conor put me 2nd on the grid which is probably an advantage here at the start. Conor got just enough wheel spin to allow me to get alongside going into T1. That meant I had the inside line through the turn. I came out of T1 in P1.

Conor stayed on my tail, literally, through 3/4's of the race. There was never a lap where he wasn't more than a .5s behind at the line. I lost the car off track cresting the Robslotemakerbocht while reaching to turn off my wipers. That off course track put Conor on top with about 8 mins to go.

About 3 laps later still trailing Conor, POOF! Conor was gone. Excellent battle my friend. I really enjoyed that one.
