GT Pro

Came to this race straight from the GT4 race on GTR2. I'd had no practise at all in these cars and went in the Aston was really happy after qual to be 7th.

race i got away quite well and kept position but i got it all wrong going into Adelaide and locked the brakes and it was as if the car didnt want to stop unfortunately i hit George hard and ruined his race :( Really sorry for this George i felt terrible afterwards anyway served my D/T and just plugged away and got 8th which tbh i dont feel i deserved at all.

Wow this was a brilliant start, practising it really helped me a lot.. I started P13 after a decent qualifying but right after the first corner I was P8 already.

Then I was on the front row of a big crash involving at least Phil Perkins and George Pol and coming out of Adelaide hairpin I saw myself lying P4. 9 places in not even half a lap, I was absolutly flabbergasted.

But unfortunatly I couldn't hold on to the places in the top 5 and was pushing a little too hard which made me go off the track on some corners and eventually giving me a stop & go penalty. I lost a few positions there and fell outside the top 10, but then some people had problems too and I saw myself heading into the top 8 again with 10 minutes too go. But also I noticed Phil Perkins closing in on me and I tried to push a little more again but the same thing as the beginning of the race and with 3 minutes to go I had to make another stop & go making my team-mates Phil Perkins and Andy Graydon take my position. So for the last lap I was cruising to the finish because I saw I could never take Andy again and the gap behind me was over 30 seconds.

At least I scored another top 10 in a race and my ranks are increasing.

Yet another one where something went wrong. Apart from being punted in the chicane on what had been a good lap (grr), destroying my car, I wandered away for the rest of quali, and found myself in the kitchen in the pitch dark of a power cut.

Got back and booted back up, and would have probably logged back in while the wait on the grid was happening, but wouldn't let me connect...

Sigh.

Oh boy... knew i can do 33s in Q i decided to start from back. Had good start and after lap1 i was in 5th already.

But then problems... got drive-thru from steward and then stop/go for cutting track which i did once if u ask me... the 2 times before i got cut warning were just silly... once mistake in corner while fighting Allen and once for no good reason as i hit the gravel in one of fast chicanes....

I just hope drive-thru was for some other reason then "cutting" ... since i was punished from steward and game then...

Thnx for nice fight Allen and Heinz, and sry if i was a bit rough at times.

Disappointing first race at R2P for me, i was pleased to qual in 10th as i only purchased GTR EVO yesterday.

I managed to keep out of trouble in the first corner but when entering Adelaide in the first lap a pile of cars had gone off and one of them rejoined as i was coming off the apex, (i should know by now not to expect cars to wait to rejoin the track), we collided and i stalled my car only to realise i had forgot to map a button for start after making my profile in a hurry yesterday.

Netcode is scary in this, feels dangerous to be near anybody.

Fortunately I wasn't for the vaste majority of the race, thanks to Allen for the setup, but the top guys disappeared off, and I slowly dropped the guys behind, so really saw no one for a battle for 30+ minutes.

Good fun car though the DBR9, however the sim feels very light and no interaction with the tarmac (even less than rfactor) but really needs work on the online code I feel.

Settle for fifth though!

4th in quali, a great start into 3rd and then ... big trouble in the hairpin. Phil ran into Patrick and Patrick into me causing a puncture rear right and some aerodamage. The crawl to the pits took ages and so did the repair. But I didn't want a DNF so I carried on. But more trouble was on its way. In lap 17 Jim spun in the chicane be4 s/f and I managed to get around only to be put into the wall by Simon who had taken the inside line. Another repair needed and my finger was on ESC because at that point I really had enough of all the sh*t. Decided to carry on trying to finish this race after all. Lets hope it all was a bad rehearsal for the US-race later tonight.

Janko, I suspect and am pretty confident your drive through was given for punting me, impeding my race and loosing a position to Allen in the process :)

Was leading the race after a good start, but made a mistake a few laps in, and this allowed ari to pull a brave move to get the lead, then i lost 2nd when janko spun me around and 3rd because janko was too damn fast...

Well yeah, like George already wrote Phil hit me in lap 1, I had no more control and spun off while hitting George somehow.
The way I re-entered the track was too dangerous though and I caused some other guy crashing into me. I´m really sorry about that and wonder what made me do this.
It´s probably because I was off the track for so long, that I thought I would re-join at the very back of the grid, I didn´t expect some other cars still coming round the corner, plus I was thinking about whether I should give up or continue racing. This may be an explaination but no excuse.

After a pit-stop, my car felt pretty good again and I tried to push for the rest of the race, which went down ok and without any bigger mistakes.
