NAGT Challenge

Well, that was kind of fun.

What kind of wing setting did people use? Those who passed me just flew past on the banking or just about anywhere

Johan, I used 15, and apperently that was too high too.

Qualifying:
Managed to take 2nd place, that was good, there was some more time to be found, next time perhaps.

Race:
I used wing 15 and thought that would be enough not to be drafted, obviously I was wrong. Had some intense moments, and finish was wild! On the laps I concentrated I did manage not to loose much time to Pablo, but those laps weren't frequent, and gap grew very fast. Corvette being faster car didn't help either. Better preparation is in order for the next events.

Congrats Pablo, Kieron and Kevin and all the finishers.

Managed to get to the end on one set of tyres which was good for me. Drove alot smoother and got some good consistent laps in the 1.24 region. Obviously ran a little bit too much wing at 24 but still managed to take 6th.

Really pathetic race for me, worst setup ive ever had on a car...

Terrible race for me, just made mistake after mistake, always braking into T1. I went with a lower wing but hadn't spent enough time getting used to it and paid the price.
After 3 discos in a row last weekend I didn't really expect to finish this one either, so I was just happy to get to the end.
Had some good fights along the way, and a good one with Jussi right at the end which I lost when I span it again in T1 on the last lap, d'oh!

Not one of my smartest races this one :(.

Sat in 2nd for most of qualiy until Enis bumped me down to 3rd on his last flying lap.

Got a great start, and got a bit of a run on Pablo off the line, but a dodgy shifter paddel wouldn't give me 2nd when I wanted it so that killed that off, although I did move up to 2nd.

Next few laps I was keeping Pablo in sight and just about keeping Enis behind me. Lap 6 turn 6 I locked up the inside front, ran wide and got onto the grass giving Enis 2nd place and Jussi 3rd. Rejoined close behined them both though so all wasn't lost.

After 4 laps of Nose to tail with Jussi I managed to get by as he ran slightly wide and 3 or so laps later I was tucked up under Enis's rear wing. Got a great run on him on the oval and I was able to go underneath him heading into T1. I lost the rear on the brakes though due to the tighter line and spun. I didn't have a clue where Enis was but I was praying I was well clear as I was heading towards the apex of T1 totaly sideways. Luckily though I was well clear so everyone got around unscathed, well apart from me :).

So after that I was down to 5th due to Kevin joining in the battle for a podium spot. Again luckily for me though I was still pretty close behind them.

LAp 16 and I past Kevin going over the start finish line, and then set about catching Jussi and Enis. A couple of laps later Enis ran wide at T1 allowing Jussi to get past and me to close up. The next lap Enis was ahead heading into T1 but for some reason the closing speed between me and Enis in the braking zone was huge. I panicked and locked everything up, and I just nudged Enis's rear bumper. I knew I was heading for the grass again but I prayed Enis didn't have the same problem. Luckily though I saw Enis drive out of T1 facing the right way, phew!!.

So once again I was down to 5th as kevin repassed after that little balls up. Lap 23 I got back upto 4th as Jussi pitted. By Lap 30 I had caught upto Kevin who was by now having a real fight with Enis. Lap 33 and again I got past kevin on the oval which was probably down to using the lowest wing setting.

Last lap and maybe half a second behind Enis, I knew it would be pretty much impossable to get 2nd, but with 3 slower cars ahead I figured there was a slim chance. Entering the Oval for the last time I was maybe a car lenth behind Enis, but unfortunatly for me he had a Vette ahead of him that he could grab a tow off. I was still able to close up though but in the end I lost out by .078 to Enis.

All things considering I'm happy with 3rd after I drove a bit like an Ass with 3 stupid mistakes. But also I bit gutted cause I did do quite a few practice laps during the week. But that's the way things go sometimes. It was all great fun and that's all what really matters :).
