NAGT Challenge

That was a tough track to get a car setup for! I gave myself an hour practice time and that still was not enough to sort out the car. Though I suspect the Porsche never was going to be overly competitive at Vanport for some reason. I would have thought it could do ok.

So my race was just a case of lapping as fast and reliably as I could and see what cars ahead fell back, rather than me make any headway based on pace. But I made one error and lost 5secs in a big slide, which in the end did not matter to things anyway.

Qualifying:
Couldn't piece sectors in Q session, but still got pole, so it wasn't all bad.

Race:
Totally crappy race. In lap 11, while leading by 2 seconds and having things under control, I hit that stupid wall that sticks out on the main straight and damaged the car, pretty bad. I had to steer slightly left to go straight.

Then I was stuck behind Bas, Volvo being very slow on straights and this being very tight track I could do nothing. I ran for 15 or so laps behind him and when he made a mistake I took a position.

Few laps of chasing Bas and I caught him again, he made a mistake, I took advantage of it again but was pushed wide in T3. Re-caught him again and passed but got pushed wide again. WTF? Thoroughly displeased with that.

Was learning the track and cars at racetime.. :s It was good action, sry for that bump to a volvo in T1 in whoknows what lap. I tried to move away as much as i could into the outside wall,... but was not enough :(.

The tires imo are loosing grip way too much when they are at high temp,... like after 1 spin 360° in first gear, rears just loose all the grip... thats just bull***t.

Grats to podium

pretty frustrated with myself(again). had a crappy qual run but got a good start on race. my tires wore out really fast and it cost me. blew a tire with about 10 minutes 2 go and i coasted it home. sorry with bas about the contact it was all my fault. see u guys l8r.

Not even an appology? Disappointed.

Punting
The term "punting" is defined as nose of car (or side-of-the-nose to the other car) contact, where the leading car is significantly knocked off of the racing line. The “nose” of the car is defined as the area from one front wheel, around the front of the car, to the other front wheel including the wheels themselves.

Use the proper protest procedure if the person who punted you did not complete a drive-through penalty.
