Gran Premio de Espana

OMFG what do i have to do to finish one of these races :(

Quali went as well as i expected and got 4th.

Race got bogged down on the line and lost 2 places to Nick and David C. i think David made a mistake that allowed me through then i set after Nick but had Allen breathing down my neck so let him through on the back straight. Just kept plodding away then noticed Allen had passed Nick and i was closing in pretty quickly. Got up to the back of Nick and had a great battle for quite a few laps, damn Nick did that have a rocket engine your straight line speed was immense :P. I think Nick eventually let me through and then i saw him spin in my mirrors, hope that wasnt my fault nick :(. anyway Allen had pitted and now i was 3rd and getting close to my stop. Exited the pits still in 3rd dunno how that happened but i was extremely happy at that point. Had about a 12 second gap back to Allen which kept going up and down then he must have pitted as David C was behind me by about 25 seconds. came in for my 2nd stop and came back out 3rd with Allen about 11 secs behind again this kept fluctuating. i think it was about lap 43 i braked for T1 and something didnt feel right carried on a few more laps then checked the lcd for brake temps and left front was only 30C front left brake gone. Carried on then all of a sudden bang the other must of gone as i was facing the otherway under braking. Another race over and another DNF i really hope i do better in S11.

Well I thought the series was over and only noticed with 15 minutes to the start that there was a race so I thought i'd jump in.
I was about to leave before Q as the set up I had was brutal fortunately Justin sent me a set up and I did the Q session the set up seemed to suit me fine and I figured I'd give a go. I Q'd 7th or 8th.

I made a great start and passed 1 or 2 guys tapped the rear of Allen I think into T1... sorry bout that fortunately my car was ok to continue and I beleive Allens was too as he managed to carry on well into the race.

I was up into 3rd and spun into the left hander mid track after the bridge losing 5 spots but at least I did'nt hit anything.

I settled down and began to gain on some guys made a few passes and eventually found myself in 5th.

The race was going well and with about 15 laps or so to go P3 and P4 dropped out of the race for unknown reasons maybe a crash or something I saw Allen I think along the left wall on the staright....

I was now into P3 with about 10 to go and about a 3 second gap to P4.

with 2 or 3 laps left the gap was now 5 seconds I spun again where I spun earlier and Nick got passed and I was now 2-3 seconds behind Once I got back on track and upto speed.

I went to full boost down the staright and for most of the remaining laps but it was too little too late as I was on the gearbox of Nick but he crossed just a car length ahead.

I'm Happy to finish the race considering I did no practice but I'm disappointed I made such a stupid error with just 2 laps left and a decent gap.

Congrats to everyone for an enjoyable series!

Well what can I say, I got tapped into T1 on L1 which damaged my rear left suspension and wing, thanks for that. I knew I should have repaired the damage but I wasnt losing that much time because of it. However it did seriously compromise my strategy as I needed every 10th of a second to make a 4 stop work and it played on my mind enough to ruin my concentration. I also wanted to blame the damage on my final off that killed my car but that really was my fault, misjudged the bend on badly worn tyres and off I went and into the wall. Grats to podiums, big up to Mr Fisher on winning the drivers championship and well done to Nick for his 2nd place overall. Oh and I think we join Vindex as team champs....GET IN!!!!! ;-)

I messed up this race when it all was looking rather good from practise and qualy.

On the warm-up lap I tried to get some heat in the tires by swerving a little but all of a sudden the car started spinning and I crashed the car into the barriers. Thanks to Tim I was able to start from the pitlane and needed to get back from a 30 seconds gap or so.

When I finally started to get some good laps in I was catching the drivers in fromt of me quite rapidly and on some laps it was even 2 seconds or more a lap. But everytime the gap was reduced to 7 seconds I made an error while trying to push too hard. And eventually I stuffed the car into a wall and had to drive back to the pits with no rear wing and suspension damage. After my pitstop the car wasn't the same and reacted differently also it seemed to be getting higher temperatures in the engine which eventualy broke down in a big cloud of smoke.

Gutted that I missed this sorry for that too I was looking forward to my first F1 race had a bash at the rfactor central BMW track day enjoyed it but need some practice I think :))

I will keep a look out for next races

Well done to David on the title, should have been no one elses.

Seemed for some reason to be slower than in practice myself, leading to some great battles with Phil and David Carney, kind of "ok I need to do something to have a chance of the title", coupled with "no point fighting these guys too hard", but the longer it went on the more my chances faded as DF carried on.

Battled hard to catch and pass DC towards the end and hold him off, desperate for a late Fisher failure, but not to be. Second place I am well happy with but unlikely to follow up next season given the rise in numbers, but we shall see!

Well done to all who have competed and finished this season, and grats to my team mates on bagging the Team Title as well, to join a small list of two.

Will be moving from Jordan to Mclaren next season, look forward to it :-]

This was such a strange race for me. I never felt like I had a setup that worked the way I wanted at this track. Every race was a struggle. Awhile back I discovered some flaws in my setups, and yesterday when I put in the fixes for Barcelona, the car suddenly became just about perfect. Felt better here than at any other track. Even though I didn't practice at all for the race until an hour before the start, my lap times were about a full second quicker than in the past. Car felt so good that I was able to do 16's any time I wanted, and even backing way off, I could still do 17's. Got the track record by a good margin, which was a nice bonus. All due to a few setup tweaks.

CTDP '05 is now history though, so time to start all over with the new cars and hopefully I figure things out a little quicker this time. :-)

Had fun racing with all of you this season, and very nice to see new drivers who all drove very well.

Now that the 05 Mod is finished hows about posting your Barca set up, I'd love to know what the perfect car felt like, mine felt like it was on ice at the best of times round here.
