Monza Grand Prix

Disaster in qualy where I had to park her after one lap because of smoke.
Race was okay, but made a mistake with both entry and exit of pitlane, engaging the pit limiter way too early and keeping it on for too long: lost a ton of time because of that stupidity.

PLEASE NOTE: WHY is it so hard for drivers to hold their chat until everyone is done????? Just because you've finished the race and I am still slowly trying to make my way doesn't mean you should not know the rules.

Agreed Francesco. I still had half a lap to do when the top 2 guys was congratulating themselves. If I could drive and type at the same time, I would of blasted them.

Other than the post race chat...I thought it was a good event. Had good races with multiple guys during the event. I rather enjoyed the race.

Was running a solid 5th, pitted and I confirmed the
fuel, but it wouldn't add it..........

I had a good charge back through the pack after my pit stop. I really enjoyed the race. One more lap and I might just have stood a chance at a win.

My pit crew decided to hold me back for about 10secs after they'd filled me up with fuel.

Same problem here Dennis, I stopped with about .2 ltrs left, told the crew I wanted 62 ltrs and fresh tyres, hit confirm and the pit boss shouts "GO Go Go"! I looked at the fuel read and I still had .4 ltrs, not enough to get out of the pit lane let alone round for another try!

I knew it would be close beforehand but I decided to go without a stop anyway. With 13 laps completed I had 63 liters of fuel left, so I knew it would be very close.

Because I wasn't under any pressure I took it easy for a couple of laps to save some fuel. At one point more people started going into the pits which put me in 3rd.

As Claudiu started to close in fast I had to push a bit more. With 2 laps to go I knew I would run out of fuel if I would keep pushing as hard as I did then. Claudiu was only 3 seconds behind me. He ran into trouble on the final lap, giving me a bit of room. With about 1 liter of fuel left I entered the backstraight. I shifted it to 6th, not exceeding 5000 rpm hoping I would make it that way. When I entered the start/finish straight it started to stutter and it died right at the line. I have cut it very close in the past, but I have never ran out of fuel right at the line.

Next time I'm doing a spash and dash at some point I think :D

I actually came in one lap early Allen, just in case I made a mistake, went out for another lap, back in, same thing, go,go,go.......with no fuel
