Brands Hatch Grand Prix

Dang it. Lost my internet with just a few minutes left in qual. I had a good qual spot too.
Hope it was a good race.

It took major good luck to bring hime a 3rd. I crashed in qual and started back much farther than my speed in practice. I got a great launch off the grid and slid into 4th. I had a run on Brook, and just about the time I had to make a split second decision on if I should try him now or not, he slowed all of a sudden, and I had to hit the brakes sending myself over the curb at the top of the hill, and into the trap. Most of the field went by. When I made it back up to the next car, he made a mistake right in front of me, and I ran into the back of him, spinning him out. After we went back and forth about who should continue on first, I went, and ducked in for my drive through. Back to the back. Then other drivers started having issues, and by 3/4s of the way I found myself in 3rd! At the end, I was getting a blue flag with no one in sight behind me. I got a stop and go for ignoring it, which destroyed any chance if Allen made a mistake. But 3rd is fine by me after all that happened to me.

Great race, sorry to see that Chriss and Brooks lost connection.

Firstly, I'd like to apologise to Bob Fay, I've looked at the replay and on mine it didnt look like i braked hard, it could have been lag. Sorry about that.

I got off to a pretty bad start, dropped to 2nd and then 3rd by the end of the 1st corner. I was having trouble getting settled and ended up dropping to 4th after a couple of mistakes. I managed to fight my way back into 3rd but was 10secs behind the lead pair. I was in a good rhythm and kept pushing to make up the places.

I got passed Cotton when he made a mistake on the exit of one of the corners and then set about catching the leader. I finally caught him and had a good few laps chasing him down and lining him up but then he lost connection.

After this I tried to save fuel so I didnt have to pit but it wasnt going to happen. I decided to pit for a splash n dash on lap 37. They really need to fix the pit stops, i put in 10L of fuel, it took no time at all but I was then sat doing nothing for the next 10 seconds until i was allowed to go. Cotton pulled 40 seconds out of me in this time!! Its rediculous, the pit crew just takes their time!! Not all that realistic is it!

Anyway, it was a good race and congrats to all who made it to the line.

Despite being surprisingly slow, even for my standards, I was very happy when it looked like I was heading possibly for a podium.
I made a simple mistake, just clipping the curb with my left rear on top of the hill and crashing hard into the barriers-- car was totaled. A silly mistake but it happens.
