ILMS: Sebring Enduro

Congrats winners of both divisions.

This was a great race for me, although I really don't deserve the forth place I finally got because my pace was only good for 6th. Pity the two guys in front of me run out of fuel.

At practise I managed to get my PB of mid 1:46, but I have to admint that I was with qualy setup. At qualy I couldn't get below 1:47 though. and started from P6.

In the first lap after the rolling start I lost P6 to Dennis at the back straight, then lost it again the following lap to Mike Erickson. I kept there till my pitstop, in the meanwhile two of the guys in front (Dennis and Kieron) had a crash and we gained two places.

Kieron made his pitstop at the same lap than me (L17) but his pitstop was faster and gained the position on me. I went back to track at P10 and fighting with P11 driver J. Van Cleef and magend to pass him at the chicane.

Then I had Bas pushing hard and he passed me once, but spun and I regained the position not without risk because I was about to crash with his car that was without control. He caught me again and tried to pass several times, even getting past me on the S/F line but I soon regained position again and I was closing the inside line during the following corners. It wasn't until his pitstop that I could take a deep breath and keep my pace in P5.

Then after my 2nd stop I was 8th and only had to wait for the guys in front to make their pitstop to recover again P6 that I was happy with until I found out, in the last lap, that my final position was 4th because the mentioned run out of fuel of the mates before me.

Happy with the result, looking forward to the next race (2 hours !!).

This was real fun an 90 minutes race with pitstops, have to do that more. Looking forward at the 2hour races.

As for me, made a few blunders in the beggining, dropped me to last. Started catching back up but computer froze. Always seems to be something. Next race will be better.

Great race- this might be my new all time favorite mod. Johnny, you disconnected right when passing me- scared the crap out of me, you flat disappeared.

I was a little surprised that I ran most of the time by myself. I guess that'll change at long beach.

I decided to go with a full-full-splash pit strategy, and it might have snagged me another spot if I hadn't spun at pit in before the last stop. But overall, a fairly blunder-free drive.

Great working with the traffic both front and back. See everybody in GrandAm or at Long Beach.

While the cars are fun to drive, I didn't enjoy the racing at all. The dual class events are fun to race when theres some seperation between the classes, but I don't like fighting for positions with cars I'm not even in the same class as. That made for a frustrating race and I was pretty happy when the engine let go early on. Don't think I'll be back in these again.

Qualified 2nd 1 second off by PB which was pretty disappointing although it wasn't really an issue as Pablos' race speed was far superior.Ran most of the race in 2nd with Ari on my tail until he had a moment which gave me a bit of a gap back to him.First pitstop went ok then as I was calculating the fuel amount I should enter on my pitboard for the 2nd stop I decided to reduce the full tank amount by a fair bit.Several laps later realising that I wouldn't have enough I went to increase it & found that my value increase button had deregistered itself & wouldn't work so I was stuck with the original amount which turned out to be half a lap to little.In the meantime Ryan had jumped me at the pitstop & was able to hold the position till the end finishing in 2nd & with my team mate having to push me over the line to eventually finish 5th.What a fuck up!.Not to worry I suppose always next time.

hey, hope you guys had fun, i was on the waiting list, tought i wouldn't be able to race, so i accepted the last minute invitation of a friend to go play golf, probably the last time this season, and completely forgot to unregister, sorry to anybody who i might have ruined their chance to race :(... wonder if was on waiting list, if this still goes into my stats of ''didn't show up'' ???

Great race everyone that was by far the most polite race I have run in. Traffic and LMP1's passing were very considerate.

Didn't go to bed until 2am from F1 race and then got up at 7am to do a few more laps to get my fuel strategy. Qualifying went well with pole in my class and 4th overall on grid.

Race start I got a little jump on Kieron and he battled with Dennis M behind me for some laps. Once I got settled in I was able to build a little gap. Made it a lap or two longer than LMP1's so I pitted from first. Came back out in second with Steve catching me before the next pit. Once again ran a couple laps longer than P1s actually leading for a few then pitted. Came back out with 9second lead on Steve and he battled all the way back to about 6 tenths in the closing laps but as we know ran out of fuel. Bad Luck Steve.

Very cool series!

Question about long beach. Even though it starts very early for me I was wondering if that time is set in stone. It is a 2 hour race that starts at 7:30 my time and that means I will miss the first 30mins of the F1 finale with two driver still in it!! Just a question.

Note:Mike Erickson and I have exact same fastest lap time.

Do you mind posting your set? I'd like to see where that speed came from... :) I had to lower the RPM's to 8,875 or the engine would explode, plus I had to keep boost on 1, sometimes would go up to 3 no more...

Engine would explode if reaching the following: 182 (OIL) & 172 (WATER)...

I would like to see the set and compare to the one I was using... Cheers!

BTW...Race was fun....Too bumpyyyyyy tho... :D I had a big headached after the race... lol....

My qual engine blew up in the last corner of my second timed lap. I wasn't going get any higher than 3rd, anyway.

For 12 laps I tried to pass Steve, then I braked too late and had a spin. I lost a little over 10 seconds. After that I started catching him again... but right after my stop the engine let go.

I'm not quite sure why it happened. I used the sprint upgrade, radiator was at 4, I revved to around 10000-10100 and usually my boost was at 2-3, on some straights 4.
