Nice field!!! Good racing.

Good times. I never hesitate to proclaim my hatred for this track. It's too tight, has too little run-off space, too little room to race, but for some reason, as Tim observed, races here are always packed. And of course I love driving this mod because the racing is always great.

Qualified way better than I expected beating my PB by over a second in qualifying (had only practiced race trim until qual, of course). Almost shit the bed on the launch and fishtailed but managed to hold it together and keep from slamming into Jarrod Barclay. I can normally gain a spot at launch in these cars, but the fishtail cancelled any such plans and I settled into T1 behind Jarrod. Big thumbs up to everyone at the start. I heard the guys behind me lifting off nice and early to give me room into T1 and that was a big relief. It's nice to race in a pack and not be worried about any crazy stuff.

The race was really steady for quite a while. At some point early on, Jarrod slipped up at the start of Sector 2 and I inherited 3rd. Jarrod got disconnected from an event a few days ago after taking pole ahead of me and I went on to win that race, so it seems there's an unfortunate pattern of Jarrod's misfortunes bringing me great spoils. I hope it doesn't last, because I know we would have had a great race for 3rd otherwise.

I had a bit of pressure from Mike Erickson after this but I managed to clear a 4 or 5 second gap before he started battling with a Hedrick for his spot and that cleared me up for the rest of the race, I just avoided any ugly stuff with backmarkers and finished the race strong in a large pack. It felt good to just do a full run without any boners.

Thanks for showing up, guys. The huge crowds are exciting.

After several hours of time with da Volv', I managed to get it as fast as the C6 I tested some days ago here. It took quite a stiff rear end to get this S60 to rotate at all, and the trade-off was a car which wanted to swap ends under very heavy braking. Throw some careful throttle metering to act as engine braking though, and she'll be steady. Sure takes effort, boy howdy! I waited just long enough at the beginning of qualy to get a clear track for a couple of laps, but a 21 was there had I not overheated the fronts prematurely by gassing out of the final corner too soon.

Got a good start by just absolutely roasting the clutch, but Kevin had more speed into T1 and I didn't want to pinch him into the wall, so into 2nd for the fountain corner. I chased Kevin hard for the first 5 laps, looking for a weakness somewhere, but he drove too well for me to find one. I laid off a wee bit and just waited for a mistake or traffic to come along, as my fronts now had a chance to cool down some.
Lap 13 and I'm getting anxious... half the race over now... Kevin not slowing down... I decide to attack. I get right up behind Kevin for the fountain corner, and.. traffic! Kevin gasses just ever so slightly too much and I peek around his outside for a go. We touch wheels, we both let off a bit to resettle, then we both slam the gas again to drag to the next corner. aaaaaAAHHH BRAKE... TURN.. GAS!! mmshiftGAS!! where is he??? gas gas gas gas BRAKE downshift feather throttle downshift WOAHrear stepped out abit where is he?? right behind.. man!!!
Yeah... it was exciting. Time for a shower.

Congrats Tristan. WOW, full house. Must have been a blast.

I'll never run with this many cars again. It was like driving in Alice in Wonderland. There were cars running sideways, through walls, through the fountain, disappearing, reappearing. One second a car is in front of you, the next, behind you.

It was impossible to pass because you had to leave so much room for the warping.

On a brighter note, I ran in the top 10. A good effort considering I had only a handful of laps in this mod. I eventually made it to the back of the pack though, due to the misfortune of others. :(

I had a blast Tristan. I just wish I could of got the rear end planted a bit more on the Vette. I loved the way it turned so I didn't want to ruin it before the race. But it was just spinning the tires too much on exit and that resulted in very angry rear tires after the half way point.

I knew if I wanted to have a chance at the win I had to get ahead of Tristan before T1. Guess the Volvo's AWD is a power sucker. He had a great jump but I was still able to reel him in and get him in T1. So mission successful. Then it was to get good enough drives in the shorter straights to stay ahead. I was able to do that but like Tristan pointed out, we hit traffic and I had to pump the throttle and he got up the outside. Nothing I could do after that. He mashed it and the AWD lauched it and I roasted the tires :D. It was game over after that.

Can`t wait to hit up another race with ya Tristan. It was great fun to have such a hard clean battle. And it also displayed the difference in both cars pretty clearly :D.

Not a very good race for me at my home track. But I did have some great laps with the boys, especially the last one.

I did manage another great start, going from 23rd to 16th on the 1st lap, but it was all downhill after that! lol

Edwin and Mark, that last lap was a doozy! : )

Wish we could have gone a few more laps like this, but not too many more! lol

Sorry to see my old pal Ralph had such a short race, better luck next time so maybe we can mix it up. hehe

NAGT will probably be the only series I run on a regular basis as I just love the way these things handle. This is what I wish the V8 Supercars could have been. Would be cool to see an upgrade with similar physics for the V8's

First off, good race guys and congratulations to the podiums.

I really like this type of track, but man was it tough. My biggest thing is that I am new to this type of Sim and not up to pace yet, so I try and let the faster cars by when I can. This came back to bite me last night. I was letting faster drivers by until I had caught the driver in front of me. So at that point I had to move from defense to offense. Sorry to the Caddy driver that was stuck behind at this point. Either way, I ended up getting sideways on the last turn and so I backed off to let the faster guy behind me by which resulted in a three car freight train that put me three positions down. A mistake that will not happen again.

Intense race.. I still haven't found the car to use in this mod yet but i still had a blast racing with everyone. Congrats to the podium finishers.

Gotta say that that was a blast! What a huge field in this one. Kind of intimidated me a bit. Wasn't really sure how it would pan out with the mention of the server straining in pre-race and I almost exited to try and relieve it a bit. Damn glad I didn't.

I got a fair start, but it was quite crowded heading into T1, and I had backed off to tuck in behind T. Malanga, and T. Depke was right behind me with a little tap. I slowed probably a bit too much and without Depke's heads up, it would have been a disaster. Thanks Tom.

Was driving my ass off trying to keep pace with those Volvo's, but at the same time trying to conserve some rubber for the last 15 minutes. When Jarrod had spun and ended up behind me, this really put some pressure on me, and it was showing on track. I kept stepping the rear-end out and abusing the rubber. Then around the 20 minute mark, he caught the corner getting onto Shoreline, and his car came to a dead stop. Was sad to see that Jarrod. I had to watch my brother do the exact same thing in the early going. :( That battle was shaping up nicely too.

Now it's time to start pushing hard, and finally, I got a good run on M. Erickson down the front strait for 4th with less that 5 minutes to go. Whew. A great run Mike!

On a final note, I'd like to mention all the awesome sportsmanship out there. Nobody was taking cheap positions (traffic) and all were giving plenty of room out there to race. Great stuff!
