I recieveda DFN and I didn't even race?

I don't understand. No ones fault, just a track glitch that sent everyone in the back out of the race.

Exciting race at the start. Fernando Babij and I had been trading fast laps in practice leading up to this event and I was pretty sure he'd have more to bring than I did and that proved correct. I was blown away when I snatched pole by less than a 10th of a second on my last qualifying lap. My heart was pounding from driving so close to the edge...that was quite a challenge you put up, though, Fernando. It took beating my personal best my almost a full second to grab it away from you.

After all the business with the DQs and the server reset, the race was underway once more and the start was as white-knuckled as I'd expected. Babij got a good launch and secured T1 so I tried to take it back on the exit and we ran the entire ensuing straight side by side before I let up and fell in place behind him at the first chicane. Coming out of that complex, I got a nice run and tried for the inside. Expecting a sporting block, I was ready to head left as soon as he shifted. It would have worked out perfectly except that I waited a bit too long before changing lanes and scrubbed off what advantage I had for speed so by the fastest corner, I wasn't quite side by side and later in the lap I borked a curb and we were too far apart for the rest of the race for me to fight for it.

Disaster struck in lap three. I'm not making excuses, because I could have ignored it, but all the chatter and complaining about restarts and such and other race-time chatter was really distracting. I found myself wondering why people weren't just leaving the issue for after the race so we could get on with our race. As I was thinking about this, the first chicane caught me off guard and I took too much curb. It would have been nothing except the track seems to have some invisible barriers or holes in the ground in the grass because about 1 or 2 feet in from the curbing I slammed to a halt, my car launched into the air, spun around 180 degrees and landed dead in the middle of the road with David Banta coming through the corner next. He slammed into me head-on and we both took front-end damage, I reckon. I fell to about 8th or 9th before there was an opening to re-enter and I started back from there, following a very quick Kevin Banic. I followed him for the whole first stint, collectively overtaking a few positions along the way. When people started going to pit, I decided to change my strategy to pitting after 13 laps instead of 12 just to stretch out the light fuel time with no traffic and it worked out well enough. I went into the pits with only one car ahead of me and I came out ahead of him in second place about 8 seconds down from Fernando. The rest of the race was just lapping around with no traffic until the end.

Great driving, Fernando. It's going to be quite a thrilling second-half to this series.

Johnny, the bottom 5 drivers or so will be removed from the results as they didn't take the start. I'm sure it's being worked on a we speak.

Was a bad race day for me..
At the start of qual my game crashed, had 4 min left when I finally loaded back up. Couldn't get a good lap in and started 16th.

First green,the game must of has some kind of weird glitch that DQ back 1/3 of field for no reason.

After the restart im sitting in back of field. I wait a second after green light shows so I dont get another DQ. Get to turn one and run into pileup damaging my car real bad. Just one of those nights, had to hit esc..

I just read the comments here & am glad (hoping) that I won't be given a DNF. I qualified 7th which I was really happy with considering the talent - after the restart I was 15th:(.
I barely reached the S/F line & I suddenly got DQ'd - i think I read something about exiting the pitlane on red or something. I was quite mad & I just posted a small comment at the time - I apologize if it distracted people. I was just frustrated that I couldn't race after all the practice I put into this track. Wish I could have been there.

Oh, sorry, then I could be wrong about the DNFs not counting. The clear rule I know is if you do not take the start then you can be removed from the results. If you raced for even a hundred metres, I don't know what the ruling is. So I certainly don't speak on behalf of R2P here.

After analysing both races. There is a bug in the track. There were 4 drivers that were ZAPPED off the track right at the start finish line, into there pitstall and given a DQ. Why this happened I have no idea. I will search for the answer.

I feel so bad for the driver's who had this happen to them. Many of them practiced alot. I may try to organize a re-race for these drivers. Maybe 30mins after the Buenos Aires next Monday.

I believe if I would have made a 3rd restart it would have occured again.

Can't believe I missed this race, I practiced too!

Had a very busy day taking my wife to the doctor and shopping and stuff and just plain forgot! Thought it was Tuesday! lol

Well, another 5th place finish for me. I still have not ever had a podium here at R2P after over 50 races :( . I qualified with a PB, so I was content. At the pit stop I did not take tires and was about 7 seconds behind David Banta after the stop. Then I promptly drove off the road and lost any hope of catching anyone or being caught. Boring last half of the race.

Cool cars cool track. Race was a little boring though, bummer, as I was hoping for some racing, but alas, the track is simply too big and there was too big of a pile up at the first corner on the first lap.

As a bonus, I did learn something though!

Top 5 were simply to fast for me. GRATS!!
