1.5 Hours of Canada

Sorry for the hit, whoever it was I hit. Everything was just fine during qual, but when the race started I saw terrible lag spikes, even during the warmup lap. Just couldn't see who was where at times.

Not usual for me to DNF, but this time I didn't have much choice. Wasn't much fun either...

Too much lag...I couldn't race, I had to avoid many cars 'cause they kept dissapearing and I know I bumped a few that just appeared in front of me, next to me, behind me... Sorry for the contact... I got a "D-T", I guess because of the same not sure why, but many times I had to cut the chicane to avoid cars...The timing showed people behind 7 laps down, then 15 secs. behind... Terrible lag...

Had a better race than I expected. I woke up 10 minutes before qualifying because my woman turned the alarm clock off last night, not realizing I'd put it on for a reason. After going to the bathroom and splashing my face I got back with time to do 1 warmup lap before qual.

The heavy traffic in qualifying helped me out because lots of guys were not putting in times they could have otherwise and so I started higher than expected. Race was pretty clean the whole way. It basically all took place over three acts for me. The first act was trying to stay ahead of 3 or 4 other NAGT cars close enough to give me trouble while I was trying to chase down Rob Melchione, who was putting in some really solid lapping in the early phase. After I got around Rob I spent the next half hour or something just trying to stay there and put in clean laps while lapping and being lapped. Finally after pitting, the later part of the race was a tough challenge in trying to catch and overtake Mike Erickson who just had too much for me on this day. He wasn't giving anything away for free and the best I could do was pull him in to about .8 seconds only for him to get another second apart for the other half of the lap. My best chances to catch him came when we were letting fabcars through, so I welcomed the heavy traffic, but I still couldn't make anything stick. On the final lap I spun coming in close in sector 1 and then just drove out the last lap alone ahead of my teammate.

:D ....I said that I did not see some cars... I was tip-toeing most of the time... My FPS was like 75 no issues there, but then I wasn't sure where to pass, 'cause the minute I got close the cars that were on the right appeared on the left and vice-versa and I was forced sometimes to pass through the grass on the straight-away 'cause I didn't know where the next car was...

Not going to continue racing GrandAm with the combined "novice"/"pro" fields. Great job to the winners, you are in a class of your own-- quite literally.

Well my first race here at R2P is in the books. Although it wasn't the best of starts with track IR failing on the second lap leaving me stuck in a slightly off center view then jumping all over the place until I gave up and shut it down, it was still great fun while it lasted. had some lag issues,not bad but enough to make it difficult to judge the distance and location of cars in front of me a couple of times. This was my first multi-class race and as a result was overly cautious which in the end was my undoing. Excellent sportsmanship displayed by all,hope I didn't aggravate folks to much...if so my apologizes. Thanks for a great race.

Francesco- You started 20th and finished 9th? That's pretty damn good if you asked me. Sounds to me you came in here with a bitter note and kept it throughout the race. Sorry you feel/felt that way.

I had some fantastic racing for the whole race. Heavy concentration for sure. I didn't have any lag issues at all (sorry Omar) You sure didn't seem to have any issues while you and me were going at it. Dennis...Great job Teamie! I was fortunate to come in 2nd. I thought for sure Steve was going to be nothing but flames out there. He must have ran into some trouble. Sorry to see that....well ok....not that sorry ;-) You were flying. Had a great battle with Zak at the end too. Good racing man. Traffic played a big part in that battle. I damn near handed it to you on the last lap too. Glad with my 2nd place. Felt good to get in the Fabcar again. Too bad most weekends just don't work out for me.

Difficult racing for sure. Disappointed because I could have run with the guys who placed ahead of me if not for a handful of mistakes. I've been struggling to keep the rear of the fabcar planted for a while now and it got me 2 or 3 times again today.

Traffic was mostly very good. Most guys would aid the process, which was great. A couple guys wouldn't, but they were consistent, so that's fine too. Then a couple others just seemed to plop down in the middle of the track when they saw us behind.

Apologies to Rob and maybe Jeremy for causing that crash late in the race. I tried to anticipate the line and got it wrong so plowed into the back of Rob and made a bit of a mess.

Also hit someone else once who seemed to practically stop on track. Strange. But at least the pit lane setup made stop-and-go's less penalizing here.

Thanks to all those who made life easier- I tried to flash thanks but the button broke. We'll try this thing again at the Glen.

All right guys-- everyone has been beating me over the head over my attitude about my stellar come from behind drive. I fully expect my mother to call me any minute and yell at me too! I am sorry. Yes, Barry you are right: I probably came in already peeved about having lost the previous argument. I accept my genius about my sublime drive (and finished with 0.2 gallons to boot). I applaud myself and I am now happy. I am sorry I posted in anger.
I did mess up Devin Vallee's qualy lap and I am very sorry for that.
