SO much for a fixed connection!

Having just got into 10th, connection dies on me :(

What a monumental freakin' waste of my freakin time!!! Apologies to everyone.

I practice for ages, get a good setup and decent pace. Then this stuttering garbage really ruins my day. Not only was it stuttering, but it would completely freeze for 2 to 5 seconds at a time. One second I'm in front of someone, and when rfactor eventually decides to unfreeze I'm miles behind them. Dunno what it looks like to them, but apologies if I ruined anyone's race. T1, lap1, the flipping thing freezes right on my turn in point!!!!

I've never been a big fan of rFactor, now I remember why. And rfactor's netplay is supposed to be so much better than GTR2's. I dunno, give me GTR2 anyday.

Any chance of re-running this race? (EDIT: Never mind, looks like everyone else had fun. Well done Barney. Steve and Zak!]

Wow, bad race for me. Spun several times on the first laps (is "spectators at home" a valid excuse?) and was already dead last at the end of lap 1.

At first spin it was amazing how the drivers behind managed to skip my parked car in the middle of the track. Well done guys. Then, feeling the pressure of watching eyes near me I went wide or spun some other times loosing a lot of time and leaving me no other chance than wait and see.

Of course, some of my climbing was thanks to other mates bad luck, as I didn't pass so many on track. Final result is 3^ places from start position (15 -> 12), so that saved the day.

Well i enjoyed that a lot.

Qualified 3rd with an average lap only clean lap i got and i balls it up.

Bogged down off the start and dropped to 4th could hold with the leaders for a while then made a little mistake and dropped right back made a couple more errors but kept plugging away pitted on lap 21 came out the pits and spin in T1 which let Brian through after he pitted had a little battle but then got it all wrong in the kink and was flying along the grass :O Sorry brian for this heart in mouth moment. got it all together again and was catching Brian rapidly but with about 3 laps to go i had the gap down to 3 seconds and came out the final turn to see Brian spun which promoted me to 4th just cruised home from then.

Oh and just noticed fastest lap so not bad considering my 1st race on rfactor for 2 years :)

This was one of my best races so far on R2P, I made a few mistakes during qualifying and therefor couldn't get a decent laptime and starting position.

Starting at P13 I decided to take it easy on the start before I hit somebody and need to do a drive-thru. Luckily I managed to avoid a touch with the driver in front of me on the start and I lost a few places there, after seeing some mistakes during the lap I knew I had to be cautious which I did and gradually I went up the field. Then came lap 2 where Juan Aul braked way earlier then I anticipated and I slammed into him... sorry for that, I did my drive-thru that lap because it was a stupid incident, luckily you didn't go off but I bet your rear wing was crooked after that because my front wing was and I had understeer all the way through the race.

After the d/t I slowly got into a good rythem and made up some places before my stop on lap 21 and I saw I was already on position 7. I had a very good stop, needed to let Fransisco Guittierez passed because he was quicker on the stop. Then I saw a blue flag when I came out and thought both the leaders were on my tail so let them passed, but actually it was the leader and Nick Phillips who I was racing... stupid me, I tried to push but my cold tires couldn't match his laptimes. Luckily he made a mistake a few laps later and I was able to pull a little gap.

Then right after the 10 minutes to go warning I lapped Juan Aul but the car just spun and he couldn't avoid me at that point. (sorry mate). I then had to bring the car home with a crooked rear wing, crooked left rear tire and failing brakes. Also I saw that Nick was closing in on me and was only 2 seconds behind. I pushed like crazy but couldn't keep him behind after making a mistake after the long straight.

Very good racing and congratulations to the podium, all the finishers and all the drivers who attended this race. Well done and see you next week.

First off my sincere apologies to Klaus for his race ending trip to the sand on the outside of T1, got a hell of a draft down the main straight and got along side and inside for T1, however turned in, got loose, got thrown off the kerb and hit you side by side, putting you in the gravel. Really sorry my bad and I did a drive thru on the next lap which is little consolation.

However that really buggered it when I did the drive thru, I looked down to make sure I was doing the speed limit, and missed the kink into pit lane, damaging three of the four corners on the car.

From then on it was another rescue job, with a good few tough battles on the way with Simon and Daniel especially. Will have to settle for 7th given the circumstances, and forgetting to cancel the pit stop damage fix which cost me 30 odd seconds.

Hell of a tough race, but that was the idea. Barney and Steve awesome again, and a great job by Zak for the team coming third.

Grats to the podium and to all finishers, always elation/relief to finish the endurance races.

Was having fun until I went slightly wide in turn 1 & landed in the sinking sand. I hope we never race tracks with this god awful sinking sand again.I tried for ages to get out then quit my first ever openwheel race in 28 starts due to the **** stuff !

Why is it you always shoot yourself in the foot when things are going well? 1st time practice at this track only last night and not being a setup wizard, I didn't really have a good feel for the car and thought I would be struggling in the race.

Qualified 16th with a PB time, way off the fast guys of course, but strangely enough the car felt a lot better and I had a good feeling about the race. I was hoping not to get involved with anyone on the first couple of laps, but felt a bump going into T1 and thought "here we go again!" (checked the replay and saw I had actually pinched into Nuno - Sry mate - but didn't see you in my mirrors). I checked for damage and all was OK so I settled in for the distance.

With one thing and another happening ahead of me, I ended up in 7th and was able to hold the gap behind to 8+ seconds. This is where bullet and foot came together! I was thinking about the time remaining, fuel left before my pitstop and tyre condition and was fiddling with the status display coming into T1, left my braking a bit late and ran off into the sand. With rear wheels spinning I sat there and watched my 7th place drop to 11th, losing 40 secs in the process.

All I could hope was for somebody to do the same in front of me, but it didn't happen and I ran home 11th at the end. Big disappointment as it would have been my best fBMW finish, but I really, really enjoyed this race and it was good to see a decent number of us surviving to the end.

Sorry to hear about your stutters Boyd, we had the same sh.t at Long Beach on Sunday and lots of guys dropped out because of it. We thought it was just the track, but seems like it's something else together.

Ah Ken, that's how it goes I suppose. Hopefully I've sorted it out. We always say "that's racing", but when it's silly things like this I get a little frustrated. All chances of a decent fBMW season now up in smoke. Which is a shame because it's a great series that Nick has put together. But I'll be back at Kyalami, my home track.

Waste of time again. Dont know what else to say.
