Sports Car Championship

Well.. that was 2nd ever race with Porsche for me and it sure did show in my starts LOL. Again bogged the start and lost several positions , what a waste of a nice pole position :|.

Well , i was 3rd anyway and had my mirror full of Ari , who pushed hard but somehow managed to defend the 3rd place until Ari got into troubles.

Then it was looking like a walk into park , until i had some troubles with my eyes and lost some 4 seconds there on last laps. Ari almost catch me there , but managed to bring it home and into a podium , althou it was getting a bit too close to comfort.

Good clean racing there Ari , thx.

At least no accidents this time , so it was a better race on that perspective than the 1st one in Barcelona , but didn't like the car so much this time and hard rears were maybe a bit too conservative choice.

Shame about the disconnects just before the start , field was a bit thin but racing was hard anyway.

Congratulations to Conor and CJ for the first 2 podium places.

Perhaps my soft-med tires weren't the best choice for the hot weather. Rear was quite slippery once up to heat. I tried attacking Samuel but there never was a proper opportunity.

Congrats again to podium, looked like a great battle for the win between Conor and CJ, i only witnissed it on the timesheets though.

Got caught out on track conditions for quali.
Made a sill mistake on first lap, which put me in 9th, but was soon back in 6th trying to catch barry.

Was up to 4 seconds when i made a dumb error again, and after that, just lost all momentum and was never a threat again to barry.

Awesome race. It was great to race head to head with Claus who is someone I have worked hard to match up against for the past few years.

Like in the first race, I had an awesome start. Blasted out of my 3rd starting position and got around Sam and Claus on the outside going into T1. This time, I was on Med-Meds so I could push the car even harder without loosing much grip. I built up a decent lead over the first few laps but eventually, Claus was on my bumper and looking for the lead. He would peek in and out going into the corners but I did my best to block and prevent him from passing. But like in the previous race, I got on the curbing before the final chicane and gave up the lead to Claus. I proceeded to curse at myself but fortunately, I was beginning to pull him back in. Eventually, he did almost the exact same thing as I did by riding on top of the curbing but this time, coming out of Adelaide. I was close enough to him when he did it so was able to grab the lead back with ease. I was able to pull out to a bit of a lead, but when we came on some traffic on the 2nd to last lap, Claus pulled right in. So once again, I was defending 1st like mad and he was applying a lot of pressure. However, I was able to hold my own and brought home the victory with Claus half a second behind me. Very tough race!

Excellent battle, man. I really enjoyed it. Look forward to more of those...hopefully :)

Better than Barcelona atleast. Thought I had nicked the pole on my last lap but just in the last second Samuel took it.
Start was poor, had too long 1st gear since I used it for the hairpin so major bogdown and Conor passed us both. I spent all race trying to find a hole, but not easy getting close here specially if the car in front is on same pace. Had a few good runs but not an easy task to pass outside in the hairpin. Got the lead handed to me tho after Conor made a mistake, and should've kept it really, but somehow I did the same mistake as in practice, don't run wide in D'Eau. With only a few laps left all I could do was sit behind and be ready to strike should he make a mistake.
